Caturday Cafe April 24..... just hanging out!

  1. A Beautiful Saturday morning to all!.... Sunny and warm here in Central Fla. I took a two mile walk this morning, and then did a steam shower!.....got all the toxins out of my body, and am now enjoying a lite lunch of egg salad with olives!......

    A crew of meezers and orangies are ready and waiting at the grills to fix whatever your heart desires..... they have burgers and brats sizzling, and are currently whipping up batches of potatoe salad and baked beans.....

    ... this is a nice day to hang out with our friends!

  12. I am so happy. There are still a lot of "ifs" but, if we win against Leicester on 8th May, and if Saints lose against London Irish, we will get a home semi-final. I've bought a ticket for the Leicester match, and I'll be following the Irish match on my phone at the same time.

  13. Morning ladies! PM, glad your team won, its always a nail biter when it is close. I am having a rough day, give me a double of whatever PM is having. I can't believe my sister called. I should have known it wasn't gonna be good when she said "Now I don't want you to be mad or offended but...." I hate being told I am a failure, a disappointment and embarassment to the family. She had been thinking about it and at nearly 40, I have nothing to show for myself. Really? How about the fact that I am alive? That I SURVIVED two major brain surgeries???? She goes on and on about how my life needs to stabiliz and I need to get serious about life and stop running to doctors. WTH???? I am livid right now!

    Oh, I so want to go home!!!! 42 minutes to go, and my weekend begins!!!! I'm going to go home and once again apologize to Bobby for giving him a bath and let him console himself with sucking on the blanket. It's gorgeous out again but I don't want to take him out since he just got a bath. No plans other than total relaxing!

  20. MC, she has no rights over you or your property. Tell her to back off, and if necessary get it enforced with a solicitors letter. Get a solicitor to write to her saying that you are perfectly in control and do not want or need anyone else interfering in your life.

  23. I tried to stay positive while on the phone, told her "I was fine and didn't need her help" and would talk to her later. I essentially hung up on her. I just couldn't hear her go on about what a loser I am. Not all of us can be as "perfect" as she would like to believe she is!

  24. ick! allergies!...... I have truly found that soaking in a nice bath really helps my allergies!.... it soaks all the toxins out of my skin!! I can tell a difference in just the week, since my tub got hooked up!......

    ..... I think I'll head out to the store now, I have a hankering to make something creative tonight for dinner!.... Mr. AV is due back from seeing Son this afternoon...... he said they had a really good time, and he was so proud that our Son accepted into this Tier 1 law school.......

    MC - What the huh! Can I come smack your sister, HARD, please? Ignore her, or as PM says, get a lawyer involved if you have to. She has no legal right to interfere in your life. You are a superheroine in my book.

    Hi everyone else! I'm baking cookies for Mr. K, who is over in New Jersey at a family confab to figure out what to do about his sister (who seems to be deteriorating by the day). I thought he might appreciate some oatmeal raisin cookies when he gets home (although what he'll probably need is a stiff drink).

    It's a beautiful day and I should be outside but I'm not. Went to dinner last night with my friend who just passed her Ph.D. orals yesterday, and got home way late.

  27. MC that isn't a problem. You are not incapacitated. You have a job, haven't been ruled disabled or incompetent, and run your home. There is no way for her to take control of your property or assets unless you give them to her.
