There have been a few trolls floating around the last couple of days. IMHO, I think the best way to handle them is to completely ignore their posts--otherwise, we're doing exactly what they want (showing our outrage and letting them know that we disagree) and it will continue.

This is what I just entered on the main site...
I don’t believe I will allow these (well I’ll just skip that word) to drive me from such a wonderful site…I think the best way to deal is for now if I see either tag..I’ll just skip it and go onto someone elses comments..they are not worth our time..and not worth getting upset over…so let them say what they please…No one here will bother reading it…you won’t have your fun…It’s like when a toddler acts up…if you ignore them they settle down or go away.. -

Hee, I didn't have a clue what everyone was talking about. At first I wondered if you were saying to ignore me! (Folks from Michigan's U.P. refer to those of us in the lower half as trolls, because we live "under the bridge") I haven't heard the term applied to message board troublemakers. That's funny.

Everyone is so right about ignoring them. But, I don't know about y'all but it just makes me feel so sad that such mean spirited people would find this site, and probably as many others that they can find, and use it to not only disturb people but put such pure nastiness and meanness into words. Gosh, I know not to write run-on sentences like that .... I must be upset! Most likely that is their idea of "fun" and "creativeness". When actually what it is is just plain sick. Sometimes I wonder what we are coming to.

About kitten waterwings: About 10 years ago, there was a man in Ormond Beach, Florida, who rode a motorcycle and a jet ski with his cat on his head. (He called the cat Toby, the Ultimate Biker Cat.) Toby always wore protective gear. When riding on the jet ski, he wore around his torso one of those flotation cuffs that children wear on their arms, along with a pair of cat-size goggles.

N&NM..We'd never let go of you sweetie!! I was actually born in Mich. and have lots and lots of family there.
W&WM..I agree and found myself momentarily too hot to handle..but I went out and rolled around in our first fallen snow (so. oregon) and now I'm good to go!! :)

Gosh, I wish I could follow your lead of rolling in the first snow, Karenopa! But sadly it is 70 degrees here :-( Of course, we did have snow at Thanksgiving, which was totally unheard of in these parts. Maybe that was winter and we have moved right on back into summer!

I was beginning to wonder if anyone had noticed or if it was just me. I was getting upset by some of their comments and just left.
People can't seem to handle the fact that we are a loving community full of different purrsonalities drawn together by our LOVE of cats. Any person who doesn't like cats or animals shouldn't be posting here.

Don't worry. Trolls always get discouraged when we start giving them questions and expecting answers, instead of massive amounts of sympathy and anger. And ignoring the little idiots is always the best strategy. Don't answer and they drift back to their coloring books.
