FINALLY it is Friday! Such a long, cold, dreary, rainy week! So glad that it is winding down and we are moving into a weekend. I really need the break. Kitties are making quiche, setting up the "make your own" omelet and belgian waffle bars, shredding potatoes for crispy hashbrowns, rolling breakfast burritos and frying bacon. Cold and hot cerals, yogurt, fruit, pasteries are available to take on the go! Welcome to the weekend! What are your plans? I am actually going to Michigan in the morning with a coworker. She is in a bike race and wanted someone to ride with her. We are going to Holland Michigan and returning on Sunday. Its my FIRST thing I have done since my first brain surgery. A little nervous about the drive (5hrs) but I am remaining positive it will all go well! The Bobtails are your hosts/hostesses today! HAPPY F-R-I-D-A-Y!

Yay for MC, off on a weekend away. Have lots of fun and don't behave yourself.
I'll make myself a Spanish omelette but keep on chatting while I'm making it.
It will be Saturday here in less than 2 hours, yippee.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

I think my coworker felt the same way. She said I just need to finally "get away" from things even if a few days. It will be nice, not in town, no one from work can bother me and I can just relax. I will spend the say with her daughter while she rides her crazy long 50 mile ride. I know that is nothing like the WWM's but to me, that is a LOOOOONG ride!

You'll be doing something totally different, out of the ordinary. You'll enjoy yourself and feel better for doing it too.
I had the opportunity to go away this weekend but couldn't as Airy has had food poisoning and needs her Mummy to look after her. Poor thing has had a hard week, even had to go to ER and be put on a drip for dehydration. She's finally beginning to eat after 4 days of barely a morsel.
I'm heading off to bed now, have a great day and weekend.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Morning all. Night MS. Hope Airy is feeling better. Poor mite.
I was up at 1:42am, due to a massive thunderstorm(really loud and hard rain) and scared the bejesus out of Maddie, so we got her back to sleep and calmed her down.
Up at 2:20am, with Abbie, and her teeth were hurting her, the motrin had worn off..so I gave her more motrin and orajel and rocked her for 15 minutes to calm her down. Cried out till almost 3 at 5 minute intervals.
3:45...Another round of thunderstorms hit with again, same thing. Maddie freaked out, I came down and calmed her down. Finally after 4am, I fell asleep....only to wake up a bit after 5 to a meowing, meh'ing cat..Fred does that right next to your ear. I shooed him off the bed time and time again. Finally got up at 6:30, after and hour or so of fending of Fred and Maddie got up at the same time! OMG....I thought she would sleep in till at least 8...she didn't go to sleep till after 10pm and woke up 2x last night...
So i have stopped in on my way to make breakfast, I am having some coffee first while Maddie watches Scooby Doo.
MC, that is wonderful for your weekend!!! Just take it easy.

Kilroy, hey there, you snuck in while I was reading :) I see that you closed your FB account, I have one but haven't looked at it in ages. Only signed up because my kids wanted me too, just would rather be here when home and can't access it at work because of the restrictions there. Anyhoo, have a great day :)

Kilroy, I understand, I just don't have the time for it either and yes the privacy issues are very touchy. I finally used Skype with my oldest dau so I could see the grandbaby, that was alright.
If anyone missed the thread about the kitty with the bubbles video, its funny to watch and see the kitty talking to the bubbles.

Morning, everyone, have a great day, AV. Poor Airy, she must still be feeling grotty. {{{Deb and CM}}} -- I wish I could give you instant headache-ban pills and wide-awake pills as well. Have a fabulous time, MC, I think your co-worker is right, do you good to get out of the big city just for a day or two.

Jane, enjoy your weekend with your Mum and both of you enjoy your Birthday's!

Sounds like you have a plan Jane :) Dealing with a headache this morning and planning on going to a graduation dinner this evening. Very close friend's daughter got her bachelor's degree yesterday and I chose to attend the dinner rather than the ceremony, the 150 mile roundtrip drive wasn't that appealing right now. They live in the town I used to live in so it will be nice to see them. Don't know about yard sales this weekend, Lynn is in Glynco, Georgia for class this week and next and its just not as fun without her. One of the advantages of yard sales is looking at other people's yards, hard to talk about them when its only one of you :)

Good morning (or good night as the case may be). Finally, a warm and lovely day here.
Tomorrow I take Smudge and Chance for their annual check-ups and shots. I usually don't take them both at the same time, but it's hard to find two different times that work for me. I could leave them while I'm at work, but I don't especially like doing that unless I really have to. Smudge doesn't ride very well anymore, so I have to take towels and cleaners to clean the carrier and her. Chance is a little calmer and hasn't had any problems so far.Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

That's true, Deb, it's never as much fun without someone else of like mind egging you on... :) So sorry about the headache. The celebration dinner with your friends sounds lovely, I think you made the right choice, ceremonies are nice if you're in the mood but there's nothing to beat a good time and good food with good friends. I hope you have a wonderful time!
Morning, LK, you tippytoed in...
-
Morning LadyKat, good luck with taking the duo to the v-e-t tomorrow. Poor Smudge, understand the not wanting to ride much anymore.

Waves to everyone that has come in.
LK, I hear you about taking both babies at the same time, We try to do that for time and that way both the kitties smell the same and there is no hissing and attitudes :)
Jane, you have a wonderful weekend with your Mum. Happy Birthday to both of you. Can you come and tidy up my kitchen :)

Jane, thats what I thought too, would rather have good food and friends than sitting thru long ceremonies with tons of ppl. I always enjoy seeing and visiting with Neal, she is the one who is so sick and they just finally diagnosed one of her problems as being she has Celiac disease.

Deb, thank goodness they finally diagnosed her, I hope she can get some help now. My cousin has celiac disease, she was desperately sick as a baby and they thought they were going to lose her until she was diagnosed. She has lived with it her whole life -- which was pretty hard on her and her mum because there were no special foods available in NZ then. But once they did diagnose it, she got so much better, just through her parents knowing what not to feed her.

Good morning all. MC Holland Michigan isn't far from where I grew up. Enjoy the beauty and the chance to get away!
MS you have to get some sleep so you can start cooking for Airy again--she will need the food to regain strength! Although she must have eaten her spinach to have lifted everything during the wind storm.
Deb I thought about walking through the neighborhood Saturday morning to look at garage sales. They are more fun with two!
-
lol Kilroy, I would never put you through my kitchen..it's a mess on the best of days.. :)
Hi SM! How are you?
Jcat, I would talk your ear off! :D
