TGIF too from finally sunny & warmer M'waukee! Sounds like fun in Holland MI MC! I have tulips too. A few more coming up/planted 3 kinds(for the squirrels/bunnies!) early, mid & late season ones! My lily of valley & lilacs are in bloom too/luv this time of year! Mmmm cafe smells good! I will do a fruit omelet and my usual laaarge java! Waves to all who are still hanging around and for the rest who stop in to have a wonderful day & weekend! Smooch to the little door-kit...Later!

Kilroy, my friend I feel for you. Just maybe one day, we will all be rid of these confounding annoying headaches.
Gini, congrats on the graduating, and while you are continuing on with your education....this is a milestone.
I am going to a graduation dinner tonight, my friend's dau is also doing the grad school beginning in the fall so I know she feels the same.

Gini, the pigeon just wanted to be your friend and you brushed it off, so it slapped you back....we have morning doves here more than the pigeons and they get awfully brave too.

Stoppping in for some ice and a sprig of mint for my iced coffee to keep me awake for 2 more hours! Boy it is quiet in the cafe on these pretty afternoons! Kits are still lazily snoozing on the window sills! Sssh, will sneak out...oh, little baby kit playing with a lone fly on the back room sill...weeee/cuuuute!Later...

Busy day today at the cafe! Oh Kilroy I can relate to your head hurting. Seems like I am a broken record too, always complaining! LOL But then again, my head always hurts! Oh well, I am home for the weekend and I am gonna have a teeny tiny catnap to make my head feel better.

... I love coming in and checking in on the Cafe... reading how everyone's day was!.... always makes me smile!
.... I have to share a funny/sweet story with you all.... Monday, Mr. AV decided to "surprize" me with a whole new bunch of my favorite spices, which he planted on our new front porch (construction almost done!)... he had basil, mint, a little tomatoe plant, cilantro, thyme and chives!... so SWEET!!!.... Wednesday I get home, and he's all down... I say "what's wrong?"... he says "the d**m squirrells ate your tomatoes and most of the chives, and dug in the others!"..... (stiffled a LOL).... I said, "I had no idea squirrells would eat spices or tomatoes plant (in our other house, our porch was screened).... he then said "don't worry, I'll google what to do"..... next day I come home... he's all smiles..... "look, I've bought *squirrell* traps, and I'm going to relocate them"..... now I'm thinking (silently thankfully, 1) why wouldn't you just relocate the plants, and 2) do ya know how big the squirrell population is around here and 3) are they like cats, and come back home?..... however, I nicely ask "where are you relocating them to, dear"... he says "Scotty, (our workman) is taking them home with him, and letting them go in his back yard...... fast forward to today.... I'm eating lunch with one of my agents, that is near my house, so we drive down the street on the way back to the office, and when we pull in front of my house, we see a squirrell on the front porch, next to the spice pots!!... I quickly speed dial Mr. AV, who comes running around the house and shoos it away!... I say, "hows the squirrell trapping going, Hon"?... he says " well, my first attempt didn't go well - I made the mistake of putting the trap on the ground cover (which is squishy) next to the pots, and because it didn't have a solid base, the trap wouldn't spring - so the first squirrells went in/out and wiped out the entire first stash of "bait"..... (again stiffels a LOL).... "but now, I'm smart, I'm setting it on the level concrete steps between the planters, and I just know it will work"..... (my agents face at this point is red with trying to hold her laughter).... I say "good job, Hon, let me know!"... we drive away, laughing our a$$s off.... two hours later, Mr. AV calls my cell "me 1 squirrell 0"..... LOL.... he actually caught one!..... then he says "I'll be up to 4-5 by the weekend"... again, (silent LOL)..... so if any of you read a news article about a sudden "sqirrell population explosion" in West Tampa, you DO NOT know ANYTHING!!!!!! ROTFLMAF!

... can this be any more comical?.... I go down to pack for the picnic/concert and I look out the window, and there's the stray (Mr. Butch) munching on Abby's catnip plant he planted!!!... hhhheeeeellllooooo, what did he think would happen with that???!!!??? LOL
ok, leaving now, be back....

Oh AV, thank you for such a good laugh. At least Mr. AV's heart was in the right place! I know nothing at all about the increase in the squirrel population at all, lips sealed! LOL
