Cato stopped eating

  1. It has been two days. I have been forcing liquids with a syringe. I would have taken him to the vet yesterday, but I had to go to work. I am taking him in early this morning. Elizabeth

  13. Elizabeth...I'm so sorry that Cato is not eating. I know too well how painful it is for you to have to force the nourishment into them. You want so much for them to believe your doing it for their own good. I Pray that Cato knows this & begins to eat for you.

  19. I'm so sorry to hear this, Elizabeth. That image you posted once on Cato's blog of a cat dressed as an Elizabethean courtier really tickled my funnybone, and whenever I see his name, that flashes back into my mind. So that has remained my image of your dear gentleman Cato. I so hope you have encouraging news from the vet.

  21. I picked him up at noon. He peed as soon as he got to the vet's. Then he ate! They hydrated him. Took a CBC and gave him an anti-biotic. He hasn't lost any weight. They believe me that he just isn't acting right. I am suppose to bring him back tomorrow.....I bought some Greenies and of course, he ate them with no problem....There is still something wrong with him, but if I can get him back up and eating, I would feel better (and so would he). Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your good and kind prayers and thoughts. Elizabeth

  29. Happy to report that Cato had seconds this morning, but still waiting for him to poop.....this may be the issue. He got up on the bed and actually talked about food this morning.....I got his favorite...Friskies beef and gravy....hopefully it won't bring on an allergy attack! Going to the vet again in an hour and then I am at work all day.....I sure do appreciate your prayers! Elizabeth
