  1. morning. I have eggs and coffee this morning. Once I'm fully caffeinated, I'll have more food. Either that or Vicki will show up with her fantastic spread.

  2. Oh, yes, MM, I was looking for coffee. Crappy weekend and lousy sleep, so I need all the coffee I can get! Gee, I'm almost happy to be back at work! No, no, that can't be - I didn't just say that! Arrrgh!

  3. Good morning! I will contribute orange flavored french toast with real maple syrup, brown sugar bacon, and fresh squeezed orange juice. Hmm, sugar overload?

  5. Coffee I have in abundance. And it's not the typical weak American type either. This morning it's Mexican Altura in the espresso machine.

  18. Did I hear Baileys?

  19. I'll take a Bailey's on the rocks this morning. Mondays are not fun. Oh.. I'll have scrambled eggs with green chilis and cheese, bacon fried crisp and a waffle with strawberries and cream.

I am starting my life style change as far as eating goes in the real world today, so I'll fill up at the TDK cafe! I got up at 5:10 a.m. and went for a 3 mile walk before work. Felt good.. I need it !

  20. I have the extra large industrial-sized bottle of baileys this morning and an equally large bottle of Irish whiskey for anyone having an extra challenging Monday. cheers!

  21. Mmm whiskey. Actually my Monday is not so bad, I just never pass up a whiskey

  22. Thats fantastic One Popoki! I am a card carrying gym member but haven't stepped one foot back into the place since I joined. Getting up at 5:30 to get work means I would need to work out in the evening. Hearing about your getting up to exercise so early is inspiring me to go tonight. Hey even if it is only 20 minutes on the eliptical, a little bit can help out.

  23. I was thinking of going to get a pair of roller blades on my way home from work today. Rollerblading is fun (when you don't fall down, which I, of course, do a lot!) and burns a lot of calories. I've thought of joining a gym, but I'm afraid I'd look like an idiot! I know a lot of people who go to the gym and I'd hate running into people I know while trying to figure out how the apparatuses at the gym work!

  24. I used to do a lot of rollerblading when I lived in California. I had some old original rollerblades (the ones with the metal wheels on them) from when I was playing hockey. They used to make us practice on them when there was no ice around. Then I got the modern ones, I sure miss that.

  25. Rollerblading is an excellent form of exercise. Right now, for me, it's just too hot! Still 80+ degrees at 5 a.m. When the temps cool down I hope to bike to work again, too.

HM... you played ice hockey ?!?! You go girl. I played in-line hockey. Quit about 5 years ago. Too old and too slow LOL Plus it was an adult league and I was not happy playing against over zealous firemen. Twice my size and half my age... even though it was a non-checking league I got bounded around quite a bit.

Great Dane... don't be afraid of the gym. There is always someone who works there that is happy to explain the equipment. I quit the gym because they kept raising the rates for the long-timers, but the ads on TV said you could join for a much less monthly fee. I got mad about that and quit.

  26. KathyAnne, work's no fun without alcohol!

It's hot here in Florida for rollerblading, but since I'm already soaked through when I come home from the bikeride from work, I figure I maight as well keep going!
I'm still not sure about the gym-thing, One Popoki. Maybe I need to get in shape before joining, so I won't be so embarassed.....

Posted 4 years ago by GreatDane #

  27. Silly girl, Great Dane.. the gym IS for getting in shape. I would see all sizes and shapes and levels of ability in the gym. I quit for financial reasons. But I'd love to go back... having to pay is a great motivator for me. LOL Although this time around it's the fact that I am having a dress made for a hula, and when I went for the fitting Saturday, the dress is ... um... snug. Didn't make me happy, but surely is making me do something different !
