She just had her first kitten in the nesting box I provided her. Looks like a tuxie. I left her in the room for some privacy but I will be going up soon to check on her. IT's all very exciting but I'm not gonna put ourselves through this again. Poor baby is whining away (in labour pain?)and she probably has 3 more kittens to go :( She's definitely going to the spa once the kittens are weaned.

Whew. I'm spread out as thin as I possibly can with all that's been going on.
Mama Kin had 5 kittens and they're such dolls! 3 tabbies like her, one tuxie (who's quite a character, always complaining and knocking its siblings off momma so that it can nurse) and one calico. I was there almost throughout the process. Amazing and beautiful is all I can say. I'm surprised she actually was comfortable letting me watch and hold her first two kits in a separate box while she delivered the remaining 3. I've attached the link to my photobucket album here-please excuse the quality. I didn't want to intrude too much into the nesting box so the shots are not too pretty:

I really want to get this resolved but taking her to the vet again and especially now doesn't seem to be a good idea. Her appetite is normal and she is drinking water in usual amounts. Should I wait? Also she seems to feel hotter to the touch. Is it fever? Or is it normal for a nursing cat to have elevated body temperature?

Thanks Skyron. I remember you telling me something along those lines in my prev post but on Saturday night, her loose stools became more watery, frequent (she went about 5 times that night although she wasn't eating much) and greenish (I 'm guessing bile?). So I freaked and called my vet friend who said it was not normal and that I should take her in for a check-up as soon as I can. I was going to take her to the vet's on thr next morning but she was already in labour by then. It's back to being loose stools now so I suppose I'll just wait it out.

I called the vet's office and they told me not to bring her in cuz I'd have to bring the kittens as well and they didn't think it was such a good idea. But by then her poop was back to being brownish. So they told me to check if she had a fever and bring a fresh stool sample. That was supposed to be yesterday. I woke up to find that she had pooped a well-formed poop. Her temperature was normal too. She pooped once more at night and it was in as proper a shape and consistency as it has ever been! So I thought that the issue got resolved and she was fine. And then this morning I found a "half n half" (half well formed, the other half a loose blob) but it was normal coloured. I think it's as you said Skyron... She's probably just having a normal bout of loose bm because she is currently lactating.
