Need some good advise!

Ok guys bit of a possible emergency. I fed Matsuri his formula when I got home, and he ate a lot. Afterwards he did a little wheeze/cough thing a few times...and then I found that he appeared to have vomited clear liquid. I'm taking him to his clinic tomorrow but is there anything else I should be doing???

Just keep a close eye on him. And look up an emergency vet number in your area just in case he gets worse during the night. If he goes 'flat' at any time (limp, lethargic and unresponsive) -- plus the kittens do actually look 'flat' to the ground -- you may need to use it. Hopefully it won't be necessary at all, but the one thing to be aware of with with kittens is that they can go downhill very quickly.

It may also pay to have some pedialyte (or gatorade) and Nutrical (or Karo corn syrup) on hand in case he gets dehydrated or needs a quick boost of energy. Do you know the dehydration test? Lift up a pinch of skin at his neck and let go. If it snaps back immediately, he's okay. If it goes down more slowly or stays up in a 'tent' shape, he is dehydrating and needs fluids.

Well after he vomited (before I noticed he had) I'd fed him again because he was acting hungry and he ate quite a bit again. Since then he's been purring and moving around. I put him in his box, and he seems to be ok. I stroke his back occasionally and he responds immediately. Any idea what happened?

Sorry, Nick, no, unless he just gobbled too quickly and brought some of it back up again. I'm really glad your little boy seems fine and just ask them about it at the clinic tomorrow. Just keep a close eye on him, as I said, and be alert to any change in him, and with any luck, we're worrying about nothing.
Kids, hunh? You never stop worrying about them...
Actually, now I come to remember, Skyron -- one of our experienced kitty mums -- recommends burping the little guys after feeding, just like you do babies...

Well I can't take him to the clinic until tomorrow. Forgot they were closed today (Memorial Day).
In the meantime I was gonna start litter-training him. Any recommendations on what kind of litter I should start with? Ive heard the unscented. Any specific ones you all could suggest?

Hi, Nick. Welcome to TDK!
The only suggestion I would make about litter is that you not use the clumping kind. Kittens sometimes eat litter and because clumping litter swell and hardens when exposed to moisture, it could cause a blockage inside.
You've been doing a great job with your furry friend. He sounds like a great little kitten. :)
