  1. That's a good idea. but if she eats now, wont she be upset by the heavy formula and lack of fluids in her? (She's dehydrated, and without a doubt, more dehydrated then she was before)

  2. Are you diluting the formula with pedialyte? I'd try her at 50/50.

  3. We have been giving her the 50/50 solution since we got the pedialyte. Right now they're both a bit cold. The male's paws are a bit pinkish (not pale but getting there if I don't increase the temperature) that's the same for the female as well. I have the heating pad back on them but it's gonna take a while till it warms up the corner for them again.

  4. Are they snuggled up together? If they're a bit cold, I'd hold off on any feeding until they're warmed up again, and stick to plain pedialyte.

  5. CG, I hate to leave you but it's 11pm here and I need to get up early tomorrow. But people should be starting to check in here now, with any luck Anncetera might look in. You are simply amazing for working as hard as you are to save these little ones. I hope to hear good news when I check in tomorrow morning. Many {{{HUGS}}} to you and I hope your little girl continues to fight.

  6. Thank you so much for staying with me and talking to me as well as giving me suggestions. To answer you so when you return, yes they are snuggled together and their body temp is beginning to rise. The little female is actually lifting her head up now so it's a hopeful sign. I will be waiting a while longer before I try to introduce the bottle to her and her brother again.

  7. Just off now, CG, that's great to hear, where there's life there's hope. Take care!

  8. 8:45am; Female passed away.

She struggled right up to the very last second and that makes me proud. R.I.P.

Her brother is also crashing at an unbelievable pace. I don't think he'll make it either.

  9. Oh CG, I'm so sorry she didn't make it. Both of you fought the good fight and she definately knew you loved her and believed in her.
Continue sharing that love with the brother and remember you are a major hero.

  10. I was so hopeful. I am so sorry for your loss--you sure tried very hard to tend to her. She knew the only kindness was from you--may you both be at peace.

  11. CG...I'm so very sorry that you lost the little girl. I truly hope the boy will get thru this. You have definately done all you can to help them survive. Sometimes it just happens that they can't fight anymore. It's heartbreaking. I've nursed alot of adult cats back to health & some just couldn't fight the fight anymore.
Kittens that young are so vulnerable. Let me tell you that your heroic efforts to save these 2 have not gone unoticed. And you are a hero for doing everything in your power to save them. She is now w/all our babies that passed before her at the bridge feeling no pain.

  12. I'm so, so sorry.

  13. Thank you all so much for everything up until the very end. The male also died. I feel bad, very bad for the both of them actually, but I'm also really happy. For one, they are no longer suffering and two, they knew a few days of warmth, food, and love. ^_^ And that makes me happy. R.I.P. you two.

  14. They were cherished and fought for every step of the way, CG. And the odds were against them from the start. I am just so sorry that they didn't make it but they couldn't have known more love and care than they got from you and your sister during their short lives.

  16. Sammy, I saw, I'm so, so sorry. He was such a beautiful, gorgeous wee kitten but he is at peace now, no more pain. Your heart must be hurting so much but no one could have loved wee Sammy more. His life was very short but very happy and that's thanks to you. Everyone who tries to save these little orphans is a hero in my eyes, with a huge, huge heart.
