Hi, Polly's Mum! Sounds like you had a wonderful time with the singing. You bring joy to others and yourself as does your daughter. You must be very proud of her!

Sorry that Kay's not feeling well, Lynn. That kind of puts a damper on the festive feeling!!

Catwoman, 30 degrees, very not normal for you! Crank the heat up! (Mama Lynn, takes out cybermobile, without Chucks permission, and how does this damn thing work anyway?, Oh ok found the key, hits the gas, ooh, does move fast, and brings blasts of heat to keep Catwoman warm! Here ya go, hold them tight, will only last for a day or so! Merry Christmas, Catwoman, and as Mama drives away out of sight, Merry Christmas to all and to all, a good night!)
Mama brings cybermobile back to the station! Santa did another good deed!

We have cooler weather--mid 50s yesterday. It has been rainy lately. We got about a third of an inch today. It is NOT windy. The gray skies and steady rain grow old, but I can't complain because we do not experience temperature extremes most of the time. I hope you were able to stay inside yesterday, AnnF!

Hi AnnF

Thanks Ann and KW, this is why we stay close to home. We can't afford for Kay to be off a whole week with no pay when she gets sick, and it is not her fault, and she feels so bad. But I will not let her leave the house looking or feeling like that. Her ashma meds don't help in this situation except to relieve the asthma symptoms. I don't want her to take an antibiotic unless she is really bad. I just wish people would understand and hold off from doing something that would cause pain to someone else.
We don't go out to eat, because the smells of the perfumes from other people could be an issue for her too. As crazy as this will sound, funerals are dreaded, because peoples cologne or perfume, will send her into an attack.
We pick where we go wisely, for her health. It makes us look like hermits, sometimes, but we have to protect her health. This is most important. thanks for the concern.

We are having a non-traditional (for us) dinner tomorrow at 2pm. Roast beef, brussel sprouts, macaroni and cheese (our son't favorite holiday food made from scratch), ceasar salad and pumpkin pie (I insisted. That's my must have dish on Christmas.)
Don't have to get up at the crack of dawn with young ones anymore. I miss it though.

A hysterical version of The Twelve Days of Christmas. A few minutes long but worth it.
Oh, BHM, we don't want to go with the airfreshener thing!! After the car wreck, we got a rental as the car was being fixed. Smelled really strong in the car. Thought is was from detailing. We drove the car for 2 days, til I happened to turn around and saw an air freshener in the back. Was at the post office told Kay get the damn thing and put in the box under my seat. Could see she was in distress while we were in the car, when I became in distress and saw the culprit, knew what it was. Last 2 days were better. Told the rental, the air freshener was in the box, you get it out! Luckily, it didn't put her into an attack, we drove with the windows open even though it was 20 degrees outside, not a problem, crank up the heat in the car and pretend that you were 16 again driving around town!!!

Hi Mama Lynn and Ann!
I'm sorry that Kay feels bad,I'm sensitive to odors too, I can't believe how much perfume some people put on. And one thing that bothers me incredibly is those infernal cinnamon brooms that they sell in the grocery stores. One good whiff of that and I go home w/ a migraine. I hope she feels better soon.
Sounds good to me, KW, all but the brussel sprouts! I call them stink bombs! Kay likes them though, so I deal with it! Willing to share the mac and cheese recipe?? (Mama on knees, hands folded, please, please, have not found a recipe that is good! Batting eyes, remember it's Christmas, the time of peace on earth, good will to womans stomach! or something like that!) Enjoy, sounds wonderful I know, I miss the little ones too!

I'm going to get something to eat (although I shouldn't. I ate about a 1/2 pound of peppermint almond bark today. Mmmmmmmm!)
Here is the recipe hubby uses for the Mac & Cheese, Lynn: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/14930
