  1. Hi, stopping back to catch up...thanks for the heat blast, Lynn! I am typing this with gloves on, 63 in the house trying to not get a huge gas bill!

We have a roaring fire in the living room, which is nice.

  2. Funny story to relate on smells. We have AC Moore stores, here, craft stores. We decided to stop in one day to get something that I don't remember. As we went through the door, eucolupus (sp) was right in front of the door we went though. Kay is highly allergic to that. So she pulled her shirt up over her nose and calmly walked to the front of the store to exit. I saw security coming to her, thinking she was there as a robber. She went outside, but they followed me all through the store. Don't know what they were thinking, just glad she got outside for some clean air. They though she was going to rob the place, the cashier told me. Told her Kay was an astmatic and couldn't take the smell so left the store. Girl said, yea they followed you though and were watching her in the parking lot because of her pulling her shirt up. She said, you'll be ok, they pulled the survalience. I said thanks, she said it is ok, didn't know she had a problem. Case closed!

  3. I sometimes make Brussels sprouts with bacon and onion. Those two scents, plus cooking for just a short time, completely cover up the sprouts smell. Essentially, cook the bacon in a pan, take out the bacon and throw away most of the fat, except for enough to cook the rest in. Sautee white onions for about a minute in the bacon fat, add the sprouts and enough water to cover them about halfway, cover, and let them steam for about five minutes. In the meantime, crumble the bacon up. When the sprouts are done, take them and the onions out, put them in a bowl, and serve with the bacon on top.

  20. Marsha, come closer to the fire, it feels wonderful! For once I have a real fire that is actually burning by itself and not going out?!

Posted 4 years ago by Catwoman #

  21. Yea, BHM, Bonnie and Clyde sounds good! That really was too funny!

Catwoman, am so there! Which kitty do I get? Can I have marshmellows in my cocoa? (Damn, what did I do with the keys to the cybermobile? How come Santa can go around the world and Mama is having trouble getting to Georgia? Ok found the key, puts them in ignition, start up engine, WHHOO HOOO! Be there in a minute, Deb!!!!!!!!) UH OH, lands on Deb's garage, may have put a dent in it, just a little one, though! Slides down the roof of garage, falls on butt, ouch! Picks herself up, dusts herself off, and calmly walks to front door, rings bell. Deb, yells, Mama Lynn, puts arms around her girlfriend and pulls her by the fire, hands her cocoa with marshmellows, and an orange kitty! All is well with the world!

  22. Ok,I love fireplaces. I've only built one fire myself in a wood stove so I'm definitely not an expert either. That comes from spending all your life in barely cooled off Florida.

  28. Wait for meeeeeeeeee! I'll bring the cat hair garnishment.

Lynn, did you see the link to the recipe for Mac & Cheese I posted?

Posted 4 years ago by Kitten Whisperer #

  29. Anywhere you wanna go, Marsha, that is why it is a cybermobile! I didn't tell Chuck, aka Crazycatman, who enjoying his visit with his kids right now, that I was gonna steal it! He is our designated driver, so Mama Lynn must be very careful with the mobile so I can get it back to him, with no dings and dents!

Posted 4 years ago by Lynn from PA 6/8 #

  30. yep, it doesn't taste the same without the cat hair LOL
