Hubs is feeling better every day now (yay). He did some rudimentary cleaning yesterday and felt pretty good. His birfday is this Saturday, we're going to be at an SCA event. I'll have birthday cookies to share (less messy outdoors on a hot day than a sheet cake) and some fresh, cool watermelon chunks.
He's got this thang for garden gnomes..... I found some concrete ones at a local place and bought him the whole set of seven. Now we're painting them before we put 'em outside with my orchids and other plants.
Almost bought him a t-shirt that says "I'm retired and you're NOT Nyah Nyah"

A quick hello before I get my work day started. I've been training our receptionist temp as well as trying to keep my work going. It's been a little tough, but we'll make it through okay. The temp is catching on very well and willing to help in any way possible.

I found a photo on the website "My Food Looks FUnny" that has deviled eggs that look like...little devils! You have regular hard boiled eggs, cut in half and the yolks mixed with stuff and put back. Then it looks like points of pimento were cut for the 'horns', bits of ham are the devil's 'eyes' and a frown is made with a half an olive slice, placed upside down. They're a hoot! Gonna have to think about that for my next family get-together. "Deviled Eggs" hee hee hee

Hi everyone! I have a little sign on my dresser that says "no outfit is complete without cat hair" so I'm with you on that Sio! Sure enough, there's little black hairs on my pink top!
It was great to be away from the office for a day - I didn't even let myself think about what is going on or the work that has to be done. Just a summary of the meeting I attended in the morning.

Ahh, A moment of peace on my last day in Bawh-stawhn. 6 year old neice off to school, 3 yr old neph of to pre-school, Sister off to gym, B-in-L off to work. Maybe I can sneak in a shower and maybe a quick load of laundry.
I'll take anything with poached eggs and maybe biscuits and gravy if the kitties want to serve up.

Cat hair.....yes, it does manage to work it's way into every crevice and onto every surface available! At first, there were tufts of Jasper's hair everywhere from the "fights"...now it is Rambo's I find. Last night we left Rambo out, the boys were together all night and all was good!!!! I think I may put Rambo in his room when I go shopping. Now Jasper has claimed his kingdom. I'd probably worry and wonder if I left them together when I was gone. But we have made HUGE steps :)

Good morning from a pretty June day after alot of rain! Good, for I'm planting tonite & the ground will still be soft! Oh yes, cat hair is a sign of special luv! Kits share with hooman & hooman advertises that luv! Crockey used to pull his fur out a bit but now I mix vit. gravy for skin & coat w/food. His fur is silky and more vibrant. I think it had something to do with the on-going flea challenges vs treatment!(Yay, no fleas & pretty coat/s for both of them!) Glad your boys are melding now Katt! Waves hi to Sio, JB, Joan, Kilroy, CM, MCW, LK & MC! I will grab my carafe of java & go back to W__k now, goof off time is over for the moment!

Hi again - stopping in for some fresh air (yeah, I know, there's cat hair airborne in the cafe, but I don't mind!). Lunchtime + a piece of dark chocolate + some Cat Stevens on the radio = not too shabby!
Leela and I are having a girls' night in tonight. I guess she's getting bored of them because she is inviting efurryone who can fit thru the wormhole to come over for fresh made crabcakes and nip juice and play some games. Leela would love to see Hermes, although knowing him, he might end up on my lap! He will probably feel torn, but perhaps knows that the best way to win a girl over is by impressing her mama! I'm thinking he will probably come upstairs under the premise of wanting to slide down the banister...

Oooo Dot & Crockey luv Leela's parties! They will bring a catmint plant & will help plant it in the yard if need! They will also bring their spare badminton set for know it is a fun game for kits to whack the birdie across the net or wherever! Looking forward to today's visit! Just be sure to push Crockey back thru the wormhole at a reasonable hour for Dot has washed her paws of his current antics! THANX for the invite!
