I'm doing my best to get online as frequently as I can, given that I'm still on borrowed tech. During the summer, when the outdoor temperatures are between 75º and 90º Fahrenheit (24º and 32º Celsius, for our international family), the retractable roof will be open except during rain; at temperatures above 90º Fahrenheit (32º Celsius), the roof will be closed, but the fans will be on for the comfort of everyone in the rink. Cold beverages and frozen treats are half price on days that outdoor temperatures exceed 80º Fahrenheit (27º Celsius) (unless you are in Australia, New Zealand, or Tasmania right now [winter for the Southern Hemisphere], you probably won't even consider going near a hot beverage anyway). DJ Pumpkin will be doing one hour of music from the Madonna of the cyber generation, Lady Gaga. Come one, come all, and take a load off.

Thanks Vicki! Oooo Dot & Crockey have been practicing all Spring so they are sneaking thru the worm hole & will join in on the fun in a matter of moments! They are wondering if Leela will show up. Dot enjoys her company & I think Crockey has a crush on her the big softy flamer kit! Yoo hoo Leela roller rinkin' time!

Ruggles punches numbers hastily into his cell phone, while Rotley tears through their closet to find suitable togs.
"Windi, Windi, Windi -- what will she be wearing?" Rots murmurs softly, moving through shirts and jeans and tuxedo jackets, while Ruggles calls to set up dates with their dearest friends, Windi and Willow, at the TDK Roller Rink!

Dot watches Deuter in amazement...wooosh in a flash there goes Deuter again! Dot realizes she has more practicing to do if she wants to compete with the other skate-kits! She spots Crockey hanging out on the side and calls out "hey C-man get your furbutt out on the rink!" (She luvs pickin' on him/in a nice way.)

*thump* Leela lands on the soft padding at the foot of the wormhole. She spots Dot and gives her a big hug and waves to Pumpkin. Deuter is showing off his latest moves. They see a few more girl kitties and notice that the boys are really showing off - oops! - Deuter fell again! Leela hopes there's a good turnout and skates gracefully between Hermes and Crockey. *sniff* My little girl is growing up!

Sending Wilma and Betty since I am leaving for a continuing education class. I hope the other kits will take good care of them. They have on their jeans shorts and tank tops, its almost 100F here today!

There is a voice at the wormhole--Deuter--Teaser time to give hugs and kisses to your friends and slide on home. Deuter and Teaser knew it would be too short a time at the rink, but their Mom is having surgery tomorrow. Time to head home and see Mom for a bit. She has to go to bed early.

Not a prob. R&R whoosh through the worm hole to leave roses for their ladies, and also a delicious cream cake for WWM and Mr WWM. It is decorated with tiny roses and small icing figures of little black cats on skates.
Rotley is carrying the cake.
Ruggles holds the roses, since he could not be trusted with all that buttercream frosting!

DJ Pumpkin is still spinning tunes, and the kitties are having fun - skating, noming on cake, and sipping on nip-juice. Ruggles insists to Hermes that he COULD be trusted with the frosting. Well, almost be trusted. Ok, can't be trusted! Anyway, he's sort of a kitty-chick magnet at the moment because the roses smell wonderful. MacKenzie snaps a photo of him holding the roses to send to Windi. Is Ruggles blushing??
Leela reminds Dot and Crockey of their curfew and shows them the correct wormhole to get back to Milwaukee. "Safe travel - see you next time!"
Wilma and Betty are rummaging thru Leela's claw polish collection, looking for just the right summer shade while Leela, Grommie and Mac skate some more. Leela likes the music selection tonight; it's different than what she has to put up with at home. Some of those rock and roll guitars and synthesizers make her growl, and the oldies that mama sometimes listens to sometimes make her nervous.

Abby and Cuddles 'plop' thru the wormhole, crying because Meowmy was sooooo late to catch up on this thread!..... Luna and Venus 'plop, plop' right behind and all four look around excitedly!.... are we too late???? .... they quickly run around looking for friends and join the skating....
... except for Cuddles.... she slowly 'waddles' to the soft cushions by the fire and flops down..... 'aaaahhhh'.... she looks around for her 'elderly' friends..... (hoping someone has some nipcakes)

"Try this cake, Cuddles, its awesome!" exclaims Leela thru a mouthful of cake, sporting frosting on her whiskers. Cuddles quickly grabs a big, no, TWO big pieces. Leela, reading Cuddles' mind (getting past the food obsession), shares that she wishes Fred could have come. She forgot to bring Cricket's number so she can't call. Probably next time - those 2 love to party so their mama must have been busy or something. Abby, Luna and Venus find Wilma and Betty and decide that after a skate or two, they will do their claws too.

Lady is late, having overslept. She walks slowly into the rink and sits next to Cuddles. "I declare, I just don't know where these kittens get their energy!" she grins, watching the girls fly around the rink.

... Cuddles 'lifts' a sleepy eye and *grins* at Lady!.... she shifts over on the 'over-stuffed' lounge chair, as there is plenty of room for Lady and probably a couple of other 'elderly' kitties..... Lady carefully steps in the 'comfiness' and sighs *aahhhaaaa*.... she and Cuddles drift slowly off to sleep.... the younger kitties twirling and whirling around, laughing excitely!...... Leela sweely places a plate of special 'nip cakes' for the "queens" by the big lounge, for when they wake up.......

I'm glad to see the rink back as well. I know it's tough for Vicky right now so Vicky, we appreciate you! It's a fun way to get away from it all and give your imagination some exercise.
