  1. You did absolutely everything you could. I couldn't have told you to do any more than what you did, the downward swing, resuscitation and chest compressions, that's all anyone could have done, and most people wouldn't have known how to do that. I am so, so sorry. It was a tragic, tragic accident.

We know how much you loved these babies and how wonderfully you took care of them. Again, I'm so sorry. They would have died long ago without you, and they would never have known love and care. Because of you, they had a fighting chance. Minnie's life was too, too short but it was happy and she was loved to bits. So many little kittens and cats never even know that.

  2. She is in the Meadow with the Wolf, and Gizmo, Kizzy, Bomber, Velvet, all of them...and all of them love her dearly.

    She will wait for you.

  10. hey jcat its babyboy. It has been a year since we last talked but i have a question about winter. Ever since he was born his reaction is very slow. a ball passes him he doesnt see it. He runs into things. His reaction has never been as fast as a normal cats. I mean he was born in 115 degree weather here in yuma and was outside the whole day til we found him. What could it be?

  11. Does he appear to be blind/have poor vision? Untreated eye infections can cause damage to the eyes.

Do his eyes look normal? A cat's eyes should be brightly colored in bright light with a long, narrow black pupil. When the light is dim, the pupil will expand to fill the entire eye.

Move your hand gently toward the cat's eyes. This is called a threat response test, but you should not threaten your animal; this test is just to see if the cat blinks. Don't wave your hand, creating a current of air which he can feel.

Shine a light directly at your cat's eyes from at least a foot away. A cat with normal vision will squint, blink or move away. A cat with a visual impediment will simply continue to stare ahead because she will not see the light.

My Polly probably has mild cerebellar hypoplasia, caused by Momcat having a feline panleukopenia/feline distemper infection while pregnant. Sometimes she runs into things because she can't turn or stop quickly. She walks with her hind feet wide apart for balance. More sefverely affected cats can have head tremors, and fall down when they walk.

  12. Hi, BB, good to hear from you again.

I can't improve on KC's advice. Sounds like it might be a vision problem or a neurological problem. Have you talked about your worries about Winter with a vet? I also have a little CH kitten, Millie, she is badly affected and falls down when she walks but luckily her sight is fine (a lot of CH kittens have bad eyesight). Does Winter's head ever wobble, especially if he's concentrating on something? That would suggest a neurological problem (eg could be CH). Otherwise it sounds like something might be a bit wrong with his eyesight.

  13. He doesnt have an eye infection theyre normal colored eyes. When he was a tiny kitten he did have a crooked eye...the right one i think. Its was always a little bit off the left eye was straight. Im thinking that maybe the heat as a newborn messed it up. Havent seen a vet yet, I forgot to ask the humane society if they could check that when we got him fixed because he wouldn't stop marking his territory lol. So really what I am asking is if their is a medication lol or anything that can improve a cats eye sight. I just want him to be a normal fast reacting cat. But his eye sight holds him back. Hes quick when he wants to though lol. He's just not like a cat that chases a ball or runs after a laser. His eyes wont let him. Wow it has been awhile on talking to you guys. Helped so much when i was raising these little ones..every two hours feeding. No sleep. Worth it.
