  1. I have no idea what that is! LOL I get a thing everyday about what "weird holiday" it is and today is "Final Frontier Day"! It had a man in a space suit included with it, so maybe it has something to do with the space program. Kitties are hot and hoomid today so they are bringing in donuts from Dunkin Donuts and pasteries from Panera. There is a fully stocked Coffee/tea/beverage bar being overlooked by the Calico's. A lovely Tuxie is your door greeter today. The a/c is on full blast for the northern Hemisphere friends and the fire and heat are blasting for the Kiwi's. Welcome and Happy Thursday. Let me say I am soooo glad to be home and with my girls. My meeting was ok but I didn't like the area we were in!

  3. Morning MC :)

Just woke up myself and now the crew is insisting that I feed them, go figure.

  4. Imagine that! Boy they are demanding! LOL Good Morning AZ!

  5. "Final frontier"...that comes from Star Trek's opening lines (cue William Shatner or Patrick Stewart)"Space... the final frontier..."

Chili dogs! Num! I like mine wif mustard and onyums too.

I bet your girls are happy to see you Amy!

  6. Yes indeed they were. They weren't even snubbing me like they usually do when I first get home. Crawled all over me! I knew about "Star Trek" but wasn't sure if that was what the 'holiday' was referring to!

  7. Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.

Good morning MC Deb and Siobhan. The Crew wanted feeding? I'm stunned!
Thanks for the fire MC, it's cold here tonight and the thermometre is still falling, not yet to freezing though.

  8. Morning, all. Could someone please tell Mr. K that he really doesn't have to try to schedule every second of my days off with running around and doing stuff? I love the man dearly, but really...

We're going to Atlantic City today, I've never been so maybe I'll have some beginner's luck and win a big jackpot :) But first I'm headed to the pool.

Weather here is warming up again, bleah, we might get thunderstorms later.

MC, I'm keeping FF's kitty in my thoughts.

Hope everyone has a good day.

ETA: Yay MS from a fellow ST fan! :)

  9. Oh, and I just checked it out and "Final Frontier Day" commemorates the founding of NASA in 1958

  10. ...... 'beam me up Scottie'.....

    .... Damn it, Jim!......

    ..... warp speed, Mr. Sulu......

    .... the mind meld......

..... oh, I loved that show! I was a faithful watcher for the entire TV series!... that and Laugh-in!..... oh my, did I just date myself???? LOL

    how is everyone this morning????

  11. Morning, AV. And wouldn't you know, just this morning there's an article in the NY Times about Leonard Nimoy and his life post-acting. I will confess to being a huge Spock fan :)

  12. Morning Kilroy and AV, more Star Trek fans, yay. Kilroy have fun in Atlantic City and I hope Lady Luck is with you.

  13. Star Trek fan here too! I used to write parodies of their episodes... Shatner's got a new show this fall! I used to think he was too full of himself, and when he was younger, he -was- (lol) but now he seems to embrace it and make fun of himself as much as everyone else. I have to admire his staying power in show biz and commercials. He's not afraid to look foolish.

  14. LOL Kilroy...... poor Lenoard Nimoy, I don't think he could ever get away from that character!....

... have a good time in AC, Kilory!.... play 7, 8 and 21 on roulette for me.... I always seem to win with those numbers! LOL

....1958 was a good year, don't you think, MS?!!! LOL

  15. It just started to rain here, and if it's raining 3 miles uptown where Mr. K is playing tennis, that might mess us up. If the courts close he's going to be home early and will either want to leave early or not go at all. I don't really want to go out in the rain to go to the pool, but I will. Not sure I want to go down to AC if it's going to be raining down there.

Oh well, can only do what I can do and figure things out as we go. Time to get ready for the pool, be back later.

  16. Morning AV, Kilroy, Siobhan :)

    Evening Jan :)

To Mr. KK, really you don't have to schedule every minute of the day/night for your vacation(s)....sometimes its good just to relax by the pool, have a cabin boy bring you drinks and enjoy the day :)

And I loved the Star Trek series, all of them even.

  17. Evening, ladies, did someone mention the Trouble with Tribbles, lol?

I just got off the exercycle and I'm whacked. I haven't been on it (blush) for a few days -- but then I wasn't feeling well, that's my excuse anyway.

    Make it so!

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  18. ...*the trouble with Tribbles*.... probably one of my FAVORITE episodes! LOL

.... that and the romance with the blue lady......

Morning Deb!... hows the foot and head?

Posted 1 year ago by AV #

  19. Those Tribble were so cute looking at the beginning of the programme but not so by the end of it.
Well done Jcat, I haven't done my walking for several days(hangs head in shame)just too much stuff to do.
Mr Ms and I became great uncle & aunt again today. His nephew and wife had a wee boy. Meegz was a bridesmaid at their wedding 13 months ago. Now we have four great nephews.

  20. Please tell the calicos I need a large mug of stiff brewed tea this morning along with some fresh hot cornbread dripping in butter and wildflower honey.

Trying to sort through a ton of clutter clutter clutter to put in my first ever garage sale Saturday morning. Anyone want a 1950s era Dictaphone machine or some old golf trophies? LOL

Posted 1 year ago by Marnet #

  21. Look out Marnet, Deb loves yard sales.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  22. Morning, Marnet, gee, I should just about think you could donate the Dictaphone to a museum, lol. (Not meaning to be rude. I'm sure you inherited it from an eccentric old aunt :-) )

CONGRATULATIONS, MS! Awwww, a little boy, have they chosen a name yet? I remember that wedding, that was the one in the field, wasn't it? I bet their honeymoon will seem yonks away now they are approaching the sleepless nights.

  23. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/af/STTroubleTrib.jpg

..... come to think of it, I think Cuddles 'hocks up' a Tribble on a frequent basis!.....

    Morning Marnet!

  24. My four cats are highly entertained but somewhat cautious of all the upheaval. Of course, all boxes are expressly cat territory to hop into and check out. And all those old belts (was I ever that small waisted?!!) are for grabbing and running off with as a trophy while the others chase and play catch the kitty with the belt. LOL

  25. Good memory Jcat, it was held at a deer park in the middle of winter and there were deer in the background. Not sure about the names yet.

  26. Good morning! Finally, we are getting a break in the humidity today and a break in the heavy work load.
Star Trek...I became a fan when my son watched it all the time and I started watching re-runs.

  27. Congratulations Moonshadow! How wonderful. Blue baby items, lots of blue baby items!

JCAT, actually it was my Dad's and I have no clue why he kept it for 40 years after he last used it! LOL It's an item I'll offer to a couple of local museums if it doesn't sell, which I doubt it will. But if you look online there are gizillions of such old office machines everyone wants to get rid of. If no one wants it, I'll drop it off for electronics recycling.

Ah yes, Tribbles! Loved the scene where all the Tribbles bury Kirk and just keep falling and falling and falling on him! :)

  28. ..... Damn it Jim...... I've got to go now!..... headed off to the shower, then to 'that place'.........

have a great evening/morning everyone!..... hope to be back on later!

Posted 1 year ago by AV #

  29. No tripping over Tribbles in the shower AV! :)

  30. This always happens to me after intense exercise, my brain shuts down, lol. I cannot think of a single thing to say. My head has gone all white and rattly inside...
