  1. Calling all UK TDKers. Isn't it time for another get together? It's well over a year since the last one.

  2. I'd love to go....but it will have to be in spirit...

I was just thinking, "Labor Day is coming up, it's time to go to Cleveland to meet TDK buddies" :-)

  4. Absolutely, more than time we had another get together. If it's not too short notice, I'm having a BBQ this weekend...otherwise, it'd be September for me, when do you go back to school PM?

Afterthought - I'll message Pika on Facebook

  5. *Kilroy thinks about the fact that she's off work this week and technically could fly to England for a BBQ and be back in time for work on Monday. Then she realizes she's nuts* :)

    Hi MCW!

  6. It's a nice thought Kilroy - I'd even pick you up from the airport!!!!

  7. I go back 6th September. I can't do this weekend, could do 11th or 25th September.

  8. OK, let's wait for Pika to let us know how she's fixed.

Any other UK TDKers lurking out there? We're a friendly bunch to socialise with, talk tends to centre around our mogs (no surprises there then!) and calories. Pudding is very important to us!!! Location tends to be pretty central for all, depending on who can make it.

  14. It depends who's coming as to where it will be we try to make it equi-distant for all participants. We'll have to consult a mapbook!

  17. Wow, this sounds soooo exciting. But my reality will be heading Up North 2 more times before the snow flies. So I guess I will enjoying reading about your adventures and trapsing around WI in the sticks instead!

  18. Hi all, I've been lurking here for the last couple of years, & live in the UK even though I was born in Cleveland, Ohio...would really love to meet some other cat lovers over here! I really need to post more here, especially about having lost four out of five of my kitties in the last 2 years...

Hope to hear more about a UK meet-up! :)

  19. Catmad!!! I am so jealous. I would give anything to live in the UK! I currently live in Cleveland, Ohio :) and was born here.

  20. You know, its cheaper for me to fly to england than to take a train across my province???!!! lol. Well have fun people! Wish I could join a TDK meet up!

  21. I want to come so much! I would give Polly's Mum and MCW a big hug. Puddings! Fond memories. Wish I could join you. Send photos!

  22. Well hello Catmad!!! - I just responded to your Catster friends request. I'm so sorry to hear you've lost four cats in such a short space of time, that must be heartbreaking {{hugs}}

There aren't many of us Brit TDKers here, so great to have another aboard, keep watching this thread and we'll see if we can put a meet together. Depending on where it is (almost certainly south!) we could even car share.

  23. Hello, CatMad, welcome out of lurk mode. I'm so sorry about your kitties, I hope that in time you'll find space in your heart for some more.

I can personally vouch for most of the UK TDKers and tell you they are a lovely bunch and know how to have a good time. You would be more than welcome at their meetups and would leave feeling like you'd made lifelong friends.

  24. Aw, Kilroy...you're so nice!!

  25. CM, You must try to make the UK meet up. These ladies make my heart smile! My daughter and I traveled to the UK a while back (08) and we had the best time. Spent the entire afternoon laughing, eating and talking about kitties. You are going to love them. I am counting the days until we can travel across the pond again.

Well in regards to the meet up, as i livein the almost furthest part of the UK from anywhere, (Plymouth!!) I will have to travel upwards so give me at least 3 hours travel time, lol!!!

  27. Hi, Catmad - no more lurking, okay? And I am so sorry about the loss of your babies.

I can also attest to the wonderful group of UK TDKers. We had such a wonderful day with them in London a few years back.
