Rajah hates having people touch his mouth so he got sardines afterwards to make up for these pictures! Here is the proof: Rajah Eating Sardines

Rajah is fifteen and was eating all canned until I got him. He doesn’t like dry so I don’t know if he has had any…though I assume whomever had him before me thought he would eat it if he was hungry enough. He was 7.5 lbs when I got him a few months ago and wieghs around 13-14 lbs now.

The proof is in the pictures. The improvement in Rajah’s teeth is amazing. He is a gorgeous cat. I fed my cats semi-raw (extremely rare) meats and chicken liver and they always had nice pink gums and white teeth. The vet always remarked about how healthy and solid they were and how clean and pink their ears were. I kind of stumbled into the raw feeding because my cats hated cat food and had been feral, so I just thought that in the wild they were eating mice and wanted to continue with warmed raw meat. They rarely got sick, just one cat had a very occasional allergy. The benefits of raw feeding are undeniable. Good work FF50! Are you considering veterinary school?

Holey moley, that doesn’t even look like the same cat!

Well, Libs and Jas love the chicken livers so much, they are going to get them twice a week and other raw as I can afford it. It is too late for Jasper’s teeth, alas, and he does choke on big pieces (usually he spits them out, but occasionally I have to pull one out of his mouth) so I do still have to chop things up for him (ick).

I’m most likely going to go to school to be a vet tech. A school in the county has that program 🙂 There is no way I can leave the farm cats so I need to stay near here – so that would work out really well. My school has the option for seniors to have a “work study” as one of the classes – so I will be doing that at one of the vet offices here. The hardest part (for me) is going to be seeing all those animals who’s health issues wouldn’t exist if they were fed right 🙁

I have a 5 month old kitty. He has been eating a raw diet of rabbit and chicken for 2 months. He has bad breath. Do you think it is because he is teething? He gums look nice and pink.
