I found TDK quite by accident...helping my 6th grader research his egyptian character Imhotep!!!,and I just figured out that there was also a chat...
It has been so much fun to see all of the kittens, but even more so to see how many kitty lovers are out there.
I retired from working as a physician 4 years ago (when we moved to So California from the east coast) to be a full time Mom for my two sons (12 and 14) as my husband travels 50% of the time. We are all crazy kitty people...our cat-loving gene must be strong because our sons are nuts about the kitties. We have always had kitties, as many as eight. Currently we have 7: Meow Meow (orange tabby approx 12), Cute Linda (feral rescue, all black ? 12yrs), Willow (grey and white tabby, approx 7), Mickey (5yr old gray and white), Tigerlilly (exotic shorthair tortie , almost 2),and Kara and Karina (dilute tortie sisters 16 months) Except for Tigerlilly, all are rescued so we are unsure of their age. I have a special love for ferals as I have been quite succesful taking them in over the years and domesticating them. Willow was a feral and is now quite a Mama's boy lap kitty!!
Looking forward to many years of TDK

Welcome, Tigerlilly!
We are an interesting mix of people from all over the world. We love to see photos of each others kits. Many of us have created free web pages for each of our cats on Catster.com. Click on my name to check out my two polydactyl girls, Digit and Furl.
I look forward to getting to know you better!

hi tigerlily
welcome to tdk. i am a newcomer myself, and already i feel very at home here. all the people i have met on this site have been wonderful, very friendly and true animal lovers. you have a houseful and a full time family - you have got to be a busy lady. i think you will have a great time on tdk. i have a houseful too. 7 doggies, three kitties (one is hiding in my basement ceiling) and a bunch of parakeets. live in queens, ny, and semi-retired.
very glad you have joined up. bobby -
Thanks for all your warm welcomes. In the next few weeks I will take the time to post pictures of my babies on catster; with 7, it will take a little time!
Thanks again.

Welcome Tigerlilly, so glad another rescuer has found this wonderful family. I also have taken in and tamed many feral kittens and cats - currently have a furr family of 23 kits, ranging in age from 19 years to 8 months. All but the 19 year old Zasha are rescues from the past 4 years.

Welcome Tigerlilly, there is someone here 24/7 or close to it. I am normally on the midnight (night shift) watch, but off today. If you click on anyone's name that is in pink, you will be taken to www.catster.com and see our own little fuzzbutts.

Hello and Welcome Tigerlilly!! TDK has been a wonderful blessing to me since I came on in Sept. Never have I seen such loving support and generous natures all wrapped up in kitty kisses, headbonks, hugs, and fun. I know you'll love this site as much as we. There's an incredible amount of knowledge and experience to be found here and everyday I learn something new. Warning: keep a box of tissues near your pc at all times..tears of joy or tears of sorrow...we care and share and yes..blow our noses constantly! :)

Hi TL (Tigerlilly). Welcome to the TDK family. We are all cat (and usually dog, horse, etc.) lovers. A lot of us have been on vacation over the holidays, but things will generally get off to a lively new year. Join us on night shift, where anything goes, and usually does.
Peace, hugs and purrs,

Good afternoon from UK TL. Welcome to TDK - Polly would send headbutts but she is still feeling fragile after her annual injections yesterday. She'll be better tomorrow.
