  1. I just talked to my friend I'm staying with in Boston. I didn't realize how bad her allergies were; I can't bring Lady with me at all. :(

  2. Oh no, Bella! I thought Lady was staying somewhere else? Is your friend afraid you'll visit Lady and bring dander back to her place?

  3. It would be a day or so before I could get Lady to the people who agreed to keep her. My friend's allergies are too bad to allow for that.

  4. Why don't you board her somewhere, for a couple of days, after you get to your friends?

  5. call around the area for a vet that can board lady for a few days. or a kennel or something.
(((Bella))) We have to think of something!

  6. I think FH has a perfect idea! See if you can board her for a those couple of days. I know that you will feel better with Lady nearby.

  7. Is there a TDK person that could help out for a day or two. Lets keep this bumped up maybe someone will see it and be able to help.

  8. Bella, pls try and see about getting her boarded for a day or two, it would be such a shame not to take her.

  9. Yes Bella please look into the boarding places nearby. [[[[[Bella]]]]

  10. Y'all, I can't. I can't bring her to my friend's house for even a little while, she's just too allergic. She can't come to Boston with me.

  11. I've got a call in to Catwoman, to see if maybe she would be willing to keep her for me until I can get settled. Other than that, I'm going to have to give her up.

  12. Bella, no we all understand that, couldn't you make arrangements to drop off Lady @ a vet's clinic or boarding facility on the way from the airport....thats what we were asking. So if you can't take her with you, what happens to Lady? Does your Mom give her up to the local animal shelter or what is plan B? Just asking, if I lived closer I would offer to take her in but I don't :(

  13. Belle, maybe you're too stressed out (and who could blame you), but if I understand this correctly, you have people lined up to look after Lady, but you have to cover a couple of days - and it's that couple of days that you can't do because your friend has allergies, yes? There must be places, private catteries or vets, who offer boarding facilities who could help you cover those few days? Have a look into this before you give up {{{hugs}}}

  14. Right, MCW. And I don't have the money to board her, I'm afraid.

  15. Belle, would you email me at jennifer no dot berezai at btinternet dot com - or message me through Facebook (I have no idea if you're one of my TDK/FB friends, because I'm rubbish at linking real names to TDK names!!!)

  16. i live in binghamton, ny which is a half day's drive from Boston one way. i will take her for a few days up to a week or so if we can get her to my place. email me at cheryljhoyt at gmail dot com if you want to do this. i can't drive up and get her right now...

  17. Nice one Cheri! Belle, this is TDK - we'll sort this out somehow :o)

  18. Bell--do you have a facebook account? Why don't you do a 'chip-in' page? I, for one, will contribute and I'm sure many other TDKers would love to help you. Or, maybe you can set up a chip-in and then just tell us how to get there?

  19. if your plane had a layover at the binghamton airport, i could come and get her. it's only 10 miles or so to the airport one way.

  20. That's what I was thinking FH, but off TDK, as Kittenmaster doesn't allow money raising for individuls topics...

  22. if we keep the information off the site, i think it would be ok

Posted 1 year ago by CSBM #

  23. and NO, Bella !!! you will not have to give her up. so don't even think it. we at TDK will find a way !!!

Posted 1 year ago by CSBM #

  24. BTW, when are you moving to Boston ?

Posted 1 year ago by CSBM #

  25. 'but off TDK, as Kittenmaster doesn't allow money raising for individuls topics...'

That's why I mentioned Facebook, MCW.
Cheri--you might want to edit your post and remove the chip-in link before Kittenmaster does

  26. Bella, we will help you, just tell us how to do it... do you have a FB page?

Posted 1 year ago by kittymom #

  27. I do, I'm Linda Endinger on Facebook. I have a place for her in Boston, it's just a matter of getting her there. I'm completely dependent on my friend for transportation.

  28. Bella---go to Chip-in and set up an account and put it on your facebook page. Start calling places close to where you will be living (or close to the airport) to find a place who will board Lady for the days that you need. Take a taxi and have your friend follow you to the place that will board Lady. Problem solved!! We'll help you figure this out and come up with the money you need!

Also, once you find a place to board her, ask them if they will take credit card payments over the phone

  29. You have to bring Lady! I'll chip in, too. I know my vet charges $16 per day for it, but it may be a bit more in a large city. Please set it up and we'll help you out. You've been through so much and you need the comfort of having Lady by your side.

  30. I think I have a plan. How do y'all think it would work to put Lady in a cab and send her to my friend's SIL from the airport? It's a 16 mile trip; I don't think the cab fare would be too bad.
