This is posted on behalf of Spay & Neuter Kansas City, a group for whom I've volunteered at several of their spay & neuter clinics.
As documented by a local TV station, the outreach portion of the group recently came across Wally. He's a wonderful stray dog, but one of the worst neglect cases seen in the metro area (where the pet survived & recovered). He appears to be some sort of yellow lab mix, found at nearly a year of age. He was found to be wearing a puppy collar, deeply embedded in his neck.
The good news is that Wally's come through surgery just fine, and a foster home and then a forever home are being sought for him. If you want to contribute to help Wally or help reduce other pet neglect, the group is accepting donations.

Sorry to be posting about such an unfluffy situation, but the group needs help if they're going to continue to help animals like Wally.
