Good Morning one and all! Happy September and Happy Wednesday! Here we are in the middle of the week already. Hope you are well today. It is a rainy and dreary day here in the midwest, gonna be 83F. Today the kitties are whipping up homeade french toast and waffles. There is bacon, sausage, and country ham. Eggs any way you would like them, let the meezer on the grill know how to make em. We have coffee, tea, cappucino and hot cocoa at the coffee bar. Juice, milk, water and sodas are also available. Hope your day is great, gotta hit the ground running, busy day ahead.

Hi ladies, yes JCAT I do run my feet off a lot and I don't much like it! How are things in NZ today? Or tonight?

Morning/evening, all. Another nasty hot day here, but it looks like we might get a little relief this weekend, yay!
Mr. K and I went to the U.S. Open tennis last night, got to see Rafael Nadal against some Russian I'd never heard of, who gave Rafa more of a fight than I think he was expecting. Got home really late (the subway ride home is almost an hour, yawn). Is it Friday yet?

Hey there Kilroy! Sounds like you had a good time.

It was fun once we got into the stadium, but walking around the grounds was a. HOT and b. crowded, 2 things I hate. But it was fun watching Nadal, and there's always lots of other stuff going on that's interesting. At one point there was a couple sitting near us with the second cutest baby ever (after Abbers, of course), and I kept looking over and going awwwww. Tiny little thing, so cute.

Almost, Kilroy, only another two days to go... Must have been fun to watch Nadal, even if, like me, you know nothing about tennis, he's still one of the biggest names around, isn't he?
MC, it was a lovely sunny day in NZ today. I regretted not having done a bunch of washing and hung it out but the weather report said it was going to rain in the afternoon. I don't think it did though. First day of spring, yay! Daffodil Festival coming up in my little country town! They run steam trains from Wellington and take the townies out to a large country farm where they can pick daffodils to their heart's content, for charity...

Good morning MC,Deb,Jcat and Kilroy. Welcome to Sept 1st, our first day of Spring.
MC, have a slower day at work, Kilroy your evening sounds great, and it is Deb's Friday if that helps.
Daffodils, i had the table decorated with daffs this evening and Meegz arrived with a bunch for me as a thank you for giving birth to her. Awwwwwwwww, marriage has mellowed her.Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Jcat, I hope not yet, that can happen a little further down the line when they have saved some money for a house and babies. Anyway, I'm WAAAAAYYYY too young to be a grandmother yet!

I was 17 when I met my husband :-) Just out of high school. He was my college sweetheart. Actually, we married while we were both in college. I would not recommend that for everyone (marrying at 19, AND in college) but it worked for us.
Times were tough in those early years though, we had $15 a week for groceries. Back in the late 1970'a/early 1980's, that went a bit farther than it would these days! But still, it was a lot of Pro-burger (TVP mixed with burger), cheap hot dogs and store-brand mac and cheese.

The witching hour is upon us and now it's time I bid you all goodnight. Have a wonderful Sept 1st and sweet dreams to Deb and Jcat. Bye bye, see you all tomorrow.

Sammi was snoozing on the top of my desk way up high so I put her cat bed beside her and she crawled into her cat bed with a plop and settled for her morning nap lol! I love the funny things my fur babies do!
A couple days ago Doxie was chasing Sammi and Doxie was catching up and pounced on Sammi before she ran off with her tail up high in a playful way. Its been so long since I saw Doxie have so much energy. Controlling their food intake and Doxie getting to a healthy weight has seemed to helped her stamina. I was so pleased she could catch her baby sister :) I think Kizzie was relieved as well since Kizzie was Sammi's favourite moving object to chase lol!

Morning all! I hope everyone on the east coast is headed for higher ground. It looks like Earl is at the least going to give everyone a soaking! I'm having a busy day at work, so if someone can shove a latte and a couple of donuts my way I will get back to business!
