  1. What does 2nd kitty look like......maybe litter mates?? Or possibly one of sweetkins babies???? Goodness, you may have many 4 legged furries on your porch by morning!!!!!

  2. Its also grey. They were rolling and playing and jumping like littermates. My heart is heavy, I think I heard my neighbors take them into their house. Not that that is a bad thing, they already have four cats, one dog and the girl is pregnant and ready to pop. They are maybe 20-21 years old. :(

  3. Well, MC, if this one isn't chipped, and you get the chance to get this lovely lady, I would say it is fate! Best of luck, keep us posted.

  4. Hey MC, they just made the decision easier for you...Bam-Bam AND Pebbles :)

Here's to hoping they are both back outside in the morning so you can *kidnap* them... (ahem) I mean, take them to the vet to have them microscanned :)

My opinion, especially if they are acting like littermates is that they are probably dropped. It's probably pretty rare that two loved kits run off together?

  5. You're so sweet Amy to fix them up a box and give them food and water. I think a Pebbles and BamBam would be a great addition to Betty & Wilma! It breaks my heart too when the neighborhood ferals come sneaking up to eat from our porch. Shady brought in a kitten about 3 mos. old recently whose mother originated next door and is now as feral as they come. There's hope for the kitten though...she comes in through the kitty window at night and sleeps on the back of the couch. We'll have no trouble getting her in to the spa when the time comes. Just wish we could get our hands on her mother. That will take some planning and conniving to pull off! =(

  6. You can talk to the neighbors and work out a deal- maybe they will be happy to give you both! Or at least one. It is possible your neighbor took them in to care for because she is a lovely person, but she may be relieved if you offer to take over, especially as she is due to give birth.

  8. They are very sweet young people. I think they have no idea how much their lives are going to change SOON. I just want the best for all the animals involved. Pets and ferals.

  9. Amy. that cat looks like the home issue is already resolved as far as she's concerned. You may not have "moved in" with her, but she has certainly moved in with you!!!

  10. You may be able to open a nice dialogue with them to find out if they really do belong to that young couple. You can 'casually' make it known that you'd be interested if they had to re-home those kitties. And/or that you'd watch them if they came to your yard. that's the truth and a neighborly thing too.

There's a cat in my neighborhood who technically belongs to "a" family, but since he's an outdoor boy and outgoingly cute, he's got lots of 'aunties' around the block :-) who feed and pet him.

  11. Any new developments, MC??? There is a new black cat in my yard, that I need to take to get scanned too! Winds around my legs, loves being petted, clearly belonged to someone.... He is the third resident black cat for me... the neighbors are already starting to talk... lol

  12. Aw, just saw this thread! Newbies for Mcat?! (Purrhaps your Molly sent them your way watching out for them from the Bridge!)

  15. They were not here tonight. I have a feeling they "moved in" next door. I am happy they are inside but my heart hurts. I really felt that Maine Coon look alike was sent from Molly. Even a coworker said "OMG, its a little Molly!". She has known me for 10 years and has known all about Molly. Who knows? Maybe they will pop up again!

  16. mc, cant you go over to your neighbors and ask about the kitty? I'm sure it would be easier on both you and them to rather have a one new kitty each, instead of two new kitties at once.

  17. yes, yes, MC!... can you go ask?

Posted 1 year ago by AV #

  18. Yeah, and explain about Molly. I bet they would understand. Maybe you can get the one who was Mollysent and they can keep the other and they can visit with each other. Even if your neighbors want to keep both, you can take comfort in the fact that the cats would not have found your neighbors if they did not come to you first.

  19. And you could maybe get auntie visits, if you wanted.... They may change their mind about the two when the skin baby comes....

  20. bump, did I miss an update on a different thread? Have you talked to the neighbors, MC or have the kits showed back up?

Posted 1 year ago by roxysmommy #

  21. RM, let me tell you. Kitties are all moved in on the other side of duplex. The neighbors kitten napped them!!

    Posted 1 year ago by mollycat71 #

  22. Noooo!!!! Did she have her baby yet?

  23. Oh snap! I smell a kitten-nappin' party...

Grab your whack-bonk sticks everyone and line up on MCs' porch. It's Operation Rescue Kitteh Time!!!!

  24. RM, I am 100% behind that! Nope, GD, she did not have her baby. She did come over to visit the other day cause she thinks that Betty and Wilma are the sweetest cats EVER and she wanted me to know they always "talk" to her thru the screens on the porch. She comes over and talks to them whenever she goes outside. Thinks they are so beautiful!

  25. perhaps you should cease the opportunity to tell her about molly, and how much the one kitty looked like her??
