What kind of smilies and other symbol codes (like the heart) can be used on TDK? I know :) and :D but don't know any others and can't find a page listing them. Thank you!

The normal emoticons should work, nothing fancy works though. There is no list per se for the website.

The heart is easy to make. Just press the Alt key with the number 3 key at the same time.. ♥

♥ I just did it on our laptop! You will need to click the "Num Lk" button, mine is above the backspace key - and then the "Alt" key and then the L key. I thought I would try that because my L key has a small 3 on the bottom of the L key and I was wondering why it was there.

I discovered that the M,J,K,L,U,I,O,7,8,9 keys can be used in the same way, some of them are the suits of cards, faces, and some dots,etc., just remember to click on the num lk key in order to get them.

LOL, KC - I'm about as smart as a box of rocks when it comes to this stuff. Is there a way to make them bigger, I wonder?
And is there a way to make a word bold or put text in a different color?

My sons tell me that there is a way to do just about anything on the computer that you may want to do, so I'll just start experimenting and let you know what I learn. I do know that I can make the letters bold when I do emails so why not on comments, etc.?

I know how to bold words and change the font color in my email, but I could never see a tool bar here that allowed us to do it.

I have already started looking for stuff, and so far I have checked into my "view" button up towards the top of the page and have seen some interesting things in the "character encoding" that seems to be translating the languages ?? I don't know for sure - that computer illiteracy is really strong right now ( maybe it has to do with the Broncos/Jaguars game that is on as well as some of the Wild Turkey bourbon that I am enjoying during the game) but will keep experimenting.

well, I am still experimenting - the game is on a rain/lightning delay, so I came back to the computer. I have found a way to allow the web pages to choose their own color choices in the Tools on top of the page - go to options - go to content - then fonts and colors - click on colors and then click the box to allow pages to choose their own colors and then click ok, and then you will need to click ok on the main options page. I don't know if this is what you are wanting to do, but it is start - the game is back on, so I will be back later.
