    Thanks HM and SMM (and thanks, GD for letting people know). Her dementia had gotten a lot worse lately (although we wonder if the assisted living place was drugging her up, they say no but we're not sure we buy it). There wasn't really any hope of improvement, which doesn't make it OK that she's gone, but I really think what happened was the best for her. One last good day and then a very fast death.

    We're doing OK, JJB, thank you for asking. The viewing is tomorrow and funeral is Thursday morning. I'm hoping everything goes OK; her daughter-in-law (older son's wife) and her younger son don't get along, so I'm hoping they can at least be civil.
