Wow - just saw sunlight for the first time in 3 days! We've had constant warm summer drizzle and floods since Sunday.

We have a little bit too much sunshine here :-( Whatever happened to that thing called winter?

KK, yep the yellow thingie in the sky, that's the sun. Used to say that after we changed our work hours from getting off at 0600 to 0800. At 0600, the sun wasn't quite up yet before we got home and now its up in all its glory by 0800, what a difference those two hours make. Read on the other thread that the flooding was very near you but that you are at the mouth of the river, thats good wouldn't want you flooded out of your house.

Hi AZDEB...sorry,but, can't stay on. I have to let my 3 8-month old cats out of their cage for a bit for fun & run time. Poor babies. I wish I could leave them out all the time but don't have the room. You'll be taking your nap soon won't you? when you do,could you sleep a few zzzzz's for me please? I'll come back on when I've put the herd of elephants back in. It might be awhile tho. It's funny. Prettygirls three are less work than Runt's 2 kitties. Alot better manners with the older kits & do alot less damage. lol. Hope to catch you later.

Sigh..... it could be so much worse, right, Catherine? But if we don't have a late freeze we're going to be over run by bugs come spring... yuck

WOW! You guys are fast tonight!
Evening all TDKers, KM and lurkers.
It's cooler and rainy here today. As a matter of fact, a very loud thunderstorm woke me up around 6 this morning.
How is everyone???Posted 4 years ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #

Susie, you need to do all that you can to take care of you too, please! Hope that Cowboy is resting and building up his energy at the vet's for his recovery. Rambunctious babies are always fun, and I personally love the herd of elephants rather than the alternative. I will try and catch a couple of the elusive zzzzz's for you too. Will probably see you on later this evening, take care and have a cup of tea or whatever calms you the most ;D

Rain... what is that???

WWM - it's that stuff that makes the bottom of your jeans wet and then soaks up your legs, it makes your hair go frizzy and your toes grow webs between them like a duck!

I probably look like Daisy Duck with an afro now.

Oh! I think that I saw a picture of that once in National Geographic! :-) It didn't sound too bad till I got to the toe part.....

Well, I think I'm going to be forced to venture into my kitchen to stare at two tuna steaks and wonder what in the world to do with them. Take care, everyone!

Have to tell you a story of my trip to PetsMart this weekend and how difficult it was to leave empty-handed. I grabbed the small hand-basket as I was picking up canned food for the kitty. I always stop in to see, pet and love on the kitties up for adoption. As soon as I walked in and set the basket down the most adorable little gray kitty headbonked my knee, jumped in the basket and mewed at me. Couldn't have been more than 8 weeks old. AAAUUGGHH !! I get that one out, and pretty cow-kitty made itself at home in the basket... and I had a sleek black beauty on my shoulder. Just not fair, I say !! It was SO hard to leave there without a new fur-baby in the basket !

OP - you were very restrained to get out of there without a kitten! Not sure I could have done that. The store has obviously trained them to spot a likely sucker!

OP. I don't know how you did it. I have too many cats now, but I think I would be such a sucker if one did that to me.

East of Dallas, Catherine. FH is in Cowtown. I'm surprised you haven't gotten any rain there.

Good evening everyone! I give you credit OP for restraining yourself in PetSmart. I can't even go into those places, I get all upset that the animals are there and in cages and I can't take them home.
