I don't think it's abandonment issues, so much as normal, development. A kitten younger then about 7 weeks wants to be with it's mommy or littermates 24/7, fur or human. From an evolutionary standpoint this makes since, if you are a tiny, defenseless kitten, you don't want to be all alone, you'll die!

Sleeping with kitty?

we let our foster kitties on the bed one night, they were adorable but they found the duvet just soooooo exciting they never settled, and one of them got so excited he wet himself right on the duvet :( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUfk5lMcd58 this was taken just before his accident which was really cute at the time

OMG so cute! But this is why we have foster kittens confined to their own room until at least 8 weeks of age. And even longer when they don't understand the concept of sleeping in.
That being said, I woke up this morning to my 3 month old foster kitten licking my face. She's a singleton and her mommy got adopted so I felt bad and let her sleep with us in bed.
