  3. How are you doing now, hon? Did you get a good night's sleep? Sleep helps so much in and of itself.

  4. *crawls up to the computer.. still way out of it

I think I actually got close to 10 hours sleep *yawns*. With this new pain medicine and blood pressure medicine the doctor gave me yesterday, I feel like I could sleep another 12 hours but I have to wake up and study. After missing school all last week, I am way behind and I have four tests coming up this week. If I weren't so wasted on the pain medicine, I would probably be a little worried about the tests. But, as it is, I am so relieved to not be in constant, intense pain, that I'm really not worried about anything at the moment.

  6. Get some sleep. God is watching over you, and we are all praying for you. You are going to be okay.

  7. Owlwatcher, those tests will be easy compared to what you've been going through! I'm so relieved that the painkillers and bp medication seem to be working. I trust you're also continuing antibiotics.

  8. owlwatcher...I'm glad to hear you've been helped w/your pain. I pray they'll be able to remove the tooth soon so you can focus on your schooling. And I hope they can stablize your blood pressure. Hugs & Purrs

  12. I still haven't been to the dentist. I went to the doctor on Friday and she gave me a second prescription for my blood pressure and a prescription for some serious pain medicine.

The pain medicine on it's own doesn't do much except get me wasted. I spent over two hours Friday evening screaming and crying in pain before finally asking my roommate to go get me some ibuprofen. I then took ibuprofen with tylenol along with another 1 1/2 of the pain pills and finally got some relief.

A lady at church recommended excedrin back and body because there is no caffeine in it and no ibuprofen which interferes with one of my blood pressure medicines so now I take that and I am sort of able to go out and go to school without too much pain. I am still not able to work like this though because there is always some pain and I constantly have to rinse my mouth with listerine or cool water.

I went back to the doctor today but she still won't sign the paper for the dentist to work on my teeth because my blood pressure is still a little high (it was only 121/92). I now have to up my dosage of blood pressure medicine and go back again on Wednesday to see if it's low enough for her to sign the stupid paper so I can finally get this tooth pulled and get back to my life again. I am so unbelievably frustrated it's unreal.

  13. That does sound frustrating as h***. So sorry your life is not back on track, yet. but maybe by Wed it will be doable.

  14. For crying out loud, I wish you had a different doctor! If your BP is 121/92, yeah, the second reading is high, but the first one is just fine. I can't help but wonder how much lower your BP would be if you could just get your tooth pulled to alleviate the pain & allow the infection to drain?!?

Hang in there 'til Wednesday; things will be better soon.

  15. I have never had my b/p check at the denist before why did they do that in the beginning

  16. If you want a group of us to go over to your doctor's office with a large whack-bonk stick, please let me know.

The sight of a group of irritated, angry women carrying sticks may force your physician to reconsider his/her life choices.

    Just a thought.
