I'm taking Pretty Girl's 4 kittens today for shots, licensing, microchipping, and then to the mobile adoption clinic. Hopefully, we’ll find some kind, unsuspec... um, I mean, wonderful people who didn’t know that they were dying to adopt a kitten today!
Zoot, the brown tabby, has already gone to her new home (and the owners couldn’t be more delighted!) But the other 4 - Miss Kitty, Rocky, Jellybean and Sweet Pea - need good homes.

Thanks AZDEB...I'm doing alot better than Chuck. I have the rest of the brood that still need me. It hurts more for me at night while laying in bed & I can't shut the brain off. And yes, they do come running. Now that the rains here have stopped for a bit,I'm going to attempt again to rescue the 4 kittens. I'll let you know how that goes. *groan*

Hi Susie - I'm glad to hear that you are hanging in there! I know what you mean about the nighttime. I'm terrible like that - I just can't shut my brain down. The only thing that helps me is to read at night - it keeps my mind occupied until I finally fall asleep. Hubby is not so thrilled when I read late into the night though - he always complains about the light, even though I use one of those little booklights! ;-)

WOO HOO! Both Rocky and Miss Kitty found homes today!
Rocky was taken home today by Lisa and her husband, Rob. Their cat of 21 years died nearly 2 years ago, to the day. She got him to come over and look at the kitties, and we talked about what she was looking for in a cat. When she told me she was looking for a friendly, outgoing cat, I told her she couldn't go much better than Rocky!
When Rob made fake-grumpy noises and said, "Well, does Rocky have a job?" I said, "Well, it's child labor, but yes, she does. Her job is to be cute! I'd say she's doing a fine job, wouldn't you?" He smiled really big. I have a very good feeling about Rocky's new family, and I will be calling them in a week or two to see how Rocky's settling in.
Miss Kitty was spotted by Jenny, a young lady in her late 20s. Miss Kitty looks much like her father's cat; the cat passed away recently at age 19. She'd grown up with his cat since she was 7 years old. She wanted a friendly, pretty tabby & white kitty, and Miss Kitty fit the bill perfectly. Since she still needed to pick up the pet supplies, and was going to work within an hour or so, we agreed that I'll bring Miss Kitty to her apartment tomorrow night, after she's had a chance to get equipped and set up (esp. the double faced sticky tape on the sofa). She's very excited, and I'm sure Miss Kitty will do well (especially since when she travels, her father will be looking after the kitty).

Anncetra, are you the one bringing OP's new kitty to her? If so, I've been wondering about the fate of the cat that belonged to the young woman you were going to give the kitty to before? The one that was declawed and left to be an outdoor cat. I've been stressing over that since then. Any idea if she was ever rescued?

PJ in MT.... anncetera is the one bringing me Mili (Amelia0 next month. One of those in the right place at the right time things. I still have some work to do to prep my house for the addition. I've been telling Chloe she's going to be a big sister... LOL She just looks at me and cocks her head sideways
