This is making me hungry too--our traditional was same as a lot of folks--Turkey, sage dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes w/marshmallows, fresh green beans w/ham, corn pudding, jellied cranberry sauce, rolls, then pumpkin, apple and mincemeat pies with ice cream or whipped cream--but then the best was the turkey sammies later--preferably on whie bread w/ mayo, a very little salt and pepper, crispy lettuce, and a mandatory slice of cold dressing and cranberry sauce. And the next day was usually hot turkey sammies with the side left over's. Most of my Dad's relatives--from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, would also have crab cakes as well as turkey.

Bumpity bump as another timely subject that is less than 2 weeks away...oyyy!
?Maybe it should be what don't you eat on Thanksgiving for eyes are always bigger than tummy! Mmm thinking about turkey, stuffing, carrots w/butter & parsley as garni, nice & soft brussle sprouts w/butter & hint of lemon, warm cranberry sauce for biscuits if you need more carbs, relishes galore & ohhh the desserts plus bubbly champaigne, coffee w/dessert and bubbly as alka seltzer after/tee hee! -

Gotta have turkey, gravy, ham, mashed potatoes, corn pudding, green beans, dressing, and apple pie. Anything else is just icing on the cake!

Turkey with my own sausage/bread/sage stuffing, mashed with gravy, sweet potatoes baked in maple syrup, corn, rolls, pumpkin pie with whipped cream and cherry pie. I usually end up with mostly mashed and gravy and stuffing on my plate and save the turkey for a sandwich-just white bread, mayo and turkey! Yummy!
