We'd rather eat turkey (funny Dave Barry article)

I was so unhappy when our local paper quit carrying Dave Barry. He really is funny. I especially liked "spending quality time with our loved ones, rediscovering all the reasons why we don't actually live with them.", since I'm looking forward to spending 3 days at Christmas with 47 members of my immediate family at Christmas. The 47 are the direct dependents of two sisters (my mother and my aunt). 4.5 (one isn't born yet) generations of women with the signature thighs of my grandmother and an uncurable addiction to See's Candy.

I so enjoyed every Sunday morning when I lived in Miami when we were getting the Miami Herald with the Tropic magazine in it. I really like Dave Barry. When he got famous we were very reluctant to share him,lol.
We'll have some a ticking Meat Bomb of Death" this thanksgiving,no tofurkey or tile grout for me. :)
