Welcome to the last day of November! Can you believe we are almost thru another year? Me either. Kits are waking up and yawning and stretching. They are fixing up noms in the kitchen and Grandpa Tuxie is stoking up the fire. Grandma is floofing the kitten pillows and making sure the kittens are fed. This morning to keep you warm they have biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, grits, cream of wheat, chocolate dipped croissants, gingerbread and cranberry bagels are featured, donuts, cereals, yogurt and fruits. Hot coffee, tea, cocoa, milk, juice, soda and water are available at the coffee bar. Please stop by and visit or grab something on your way to bed, work, or wherever. Hope you have a terrific Tuesday! Take care!

Good morning, MC and Deb! Yaay, last day of November - that means tomorrow's December!!!! I love December! I picked up my Christmas tree yesterday and made my candle decoration last night. I also picked up some lawn ornaments over the weekend, so I'm in pretty good shape as for getting prepared. I so want to get things done early this year so I can enjoy the holidays a bit more!
Look what's going on in my neighborhood - actually about 100 feet from my house. Another good reason to keep the boys inside only!!

Hmm, it's more of a cool front, AV. It'll be a high of 74 here for 2 days and that's it. I want more winter than that!
We have lots of otters in the canals areound here, but they are usually a lot nicer than this one! We have a bunch or indoor/outdoor cats in my neighborhood and I worry about them around this otter. As it is, I can't find my favorite duck, who's been missing for about a month now.... :(

Morning GD and AV.
GD, hope that your fav duck just found somewhere to go for the winter.
It is 27F here but according to the weather channel it feels like 20F.

.... you're right GD, a 'cool' front, not 'cold'.... it's predicted to dip below 70 here to 68 or 69 (we'll see, I'm not holding my breath)..... yesterday we set a record high at 84!
.... keep those boys safe, I had no idea otters were such a problem on your coast!...... we have more of a problem with gators on this side of the peninsular!
-
It's not really a problem, AV. You just see them swimming in canals every now and then and they don't bother anyone. This is the first case I've heard of of them attacking and having rabies. If that's the case, it certainly can become a problem. One newscaster commented that if it was rabid, the otter would die in a few weeks. She sounded like that should take care of the problem - hmm, what about other otters or animals it has fought with??? Glad my boys are up to date on their shots!!
-
We've got gators, too. They're in the lakes and the waterways. My part of town borders the Everglades directly - lots of gators and snakes, especially pythons. A friend of mine lives in a community that's smack up against the Everglades - she always has interesting wildlife in her back yard. Snakes, deer, gators - she even had two black panthers last year!

Hi all. I'm at *that place* having stopped to buy lottery tickets, which I think is the only way I'm ever going to get out of this place. We've given up trying to keep the tree skirt around the Christmas tree; it's sitting about a foot away so Georgie can sleep on it. Silly cat.

Hi everyone! Stopping in for a cheesy bagel and a kitty snuggle. I was scooping Comet's litterbox this morning and suddenly a kitten landed on my back - gaaa! Apparently he likes it when my hair is in a ponytail.

Morning all--still tired! Better revive soon!
MC I really hope that you are able to speak with someone at work. I agree with Deb! It was very late after your work time and to call your work cell, personal cell, homephone, email, and then send someone to your house--that is too much. If you do not say something now this will continue to happen as it has lately.
GD glad the boys are indoor kitties! Otters are very cute, but a rabid otter sure causes a problem in the community. I went out to get a orange from the tree one year at my Dad's and there was a small gator on the bank. I was not thrilled--brother transplants them!
Deuter and Teaser like the tree skirt too Kilroy--we fight to keep it under the tree. And then bows are Teaser's favorite toy! No present is safe!
Joan I bet he got your attention!! Comet you are adorable! And a good helper!

It's only 8 a.m. here and I'm already ready for a break! Been up since 5 a.m. and have changed/scrubbed out all the litter trays, collected and put out the trash, done laundry, washed dishes, fed cats, given the diabetic cat her morning insulin shot, had my own breakfast.....I'm ready for a hot shower and then out the door shortly. Think I'll steal a nice doughnut from the cafe's virtual offerings. :)

Ok, I found my Christmas cards - I like to look at past years' cards when I do current ones. Now just need time, motivation and stamps. It's a bit sad to see cards from people who are out of the TDK loop, but nice to see ones from newbies. Rudolph is on tonight so that might get me in the spirit!

Good morning MC, SM, Joan, JK, Deb, GD, Kilroy, Marnet and AV!
MC, I would have socked somebody if they blew my phones up like that! And then to come to your house well after business hours? I know it may not be cool to rock the boat but I tell you what...if it was me that happened to, someone would be hearing about it!
Kilroy, Georgie has won again eh? lol Silly, sweet Georgie!
Joan, my Roxy does the same thing if I wear a ponytail! I never even thought that she would attack it until the night she got up on the back of the couch and proceeded to dive bomb my head! lol Looks like Roxy has been teaching Comet a few tricks :)Posted 1 year ago by roxysmommy #

Oh yeah this is my house, its always like OMG the dish is empty!!!!
http://comics.com/arlo&janis/2010-11-30/
Not that the other 5 dishes have food in them but one is actually empty, lol!
And this is me or how I feel the mornings I wake up with a headache....

Hehe, what Leela doesn't know won't hurt her. If Shaddo could see the bottom of the dish, it was as good as empty! We constantly had to "put a head on it". And no, rearranging the crunchies so the bottom of the dish doesn't show didn't work; whether he saw or not, he somehow knew there were no fresh crunchies in there. Leela and Comet eat right down to the last crumb.
