  1. Hello all!

As of last Tuesday, Nov. 30, I have been housing a small, white kitten that is about 10 weeks old. I found her outside the rec center of the University in which I attend. For many days since then I have been pondering if I should keep her or not. After taking her to the vet to get her checked out, I started to lean more towards keeping her, however, I'm still not positive. I have joined this forum to gain insight on raising her properly. Gad I can join the group :)

Here is a picture of said kitten (named snowball!):

She apparently thinks BioChem is tiresome, too! :P

  2. Welcome, she's a cutie. If you didn't keep her, where would she go? Is there someone else lined up to take her? If you turn her into a shelter she may never get a home.

As long as you can afford the vet care she'll need, why not keep her? The love between a kitten and a meowmy grows very fast, and she'll be your friend for a long time.

Kittens/cats don't need much to be happy. If she has a warm place to sleep, good food, fresh water a clean litter box, her shots and spaying when she's old enough, and you to love her, that is all she needs.

  3. Welcome! I see she is investigating cellular respiration. Those pesky pyruvates! She seems to have decided to stay with you, I would have much trouble giving her up at this point.

  4. Hi, Andddlay, welcome to TDK. Snowball looks like an absolute darling. Why are you worried about keeping her? Maybe we can put your mind at rest. CBM is right, as long as you have the money to feed her and take care of her vet bills, and as long as you realise that she will be your responsibility for -- hopefully -- a long time (probably about 15 years), then that's all she needs and she will be the best and most loving friend you have ever had. She will always be happy to see you and be with you and she will always be completely on your side. And she will make you laugh.

  9. So sorry for replying so late :o I have been pretty busy lately. I've pretty much decided to keep her. She has become more friendly lately and comes out of hiding (though usually during the late evening).

  10. Welcome AD!......she is so adorable!.... she actually looks like my 'old lady', Cuddles when she was a kitten - almost 15 years ago!.... she even has the same 'baby spot' on her head!....... that will most probably disappear, and she's be snow white!...... Cuddles' spot was gone by the time she was a year old!..... it just kinda faded away!......

Welcome to this warm and friendly forum, please keep us posted on your baby!.... have you named her yet?

  11. I've named her Snowball :) Kinda a quick decision. I mostly call her "Kity" right now, though.

  13. Welcome To TDK! Snowball is adorable and I am glad you have decided to keep her (pretty much anyway!). I think you will become quite a team!

  14. She's beautiful. I'm glad you've decided to keep her. As she gets used to her new home she will become more and more friendly. Kittens tend to hide quite a bit when they are introduced to a new home because they are scared.

  15. Aww! She looks exactly like my kitty as a 10 week old baby! Maybe if you know someone who wants a kitten, she could be a Christmas gift? Or a christmas gift to yourself! My kitten also has the same approximent birthday as yours.
