    Sitting here, crying, in a world in which those who are supposed to help special needs children don't know their heads from first base and couldn't care less; where kittens are thrown away to be crushed and a dog is the one who helps the survivors; where people end their own lives violently and take others with them; where ECT treatments don't work. We grieve for out furbabies when they leave us but, if it were possible to do so in the Meadow, in the presence of the man with the torn hands, they would probably grieve for us.
