Mine isn't so much a word of advice as it is a way of life. I was raised with knowing that if whatever or who ever I was pursuing my parents would always approve as long as I'm happy. My boyfriend and friends also instill that in me constantly because we are all learning to do the things that make us happy. I'm 21 and graduating a semester late from school but my family knows it's because I left the school where I was unhappy and am now in a place where I feel at home. Also "Go for it" is a good piece of advice, because well why not go for everything you want to do! You only live once! (I guess that's another one) bottom line do things that make you happy :)

This was more of a response than advice, but my Mom would sometimes say "No such animal". She would say it in response to me searching for the impossible, be it person, place or thing. It still gives me a chuckle, it was a pretty good response to those idealistic searches.
