  1. Hey guys, i havent been on here in a month or so due to moving house and only just having internet reinstalled.
Im so worried bout our little Luna, she has been fine all today then suddenly tonight around 7pm before we were due to go to a NYE party she wouldnt shut her mouth and had her tongue hanging out. I reluctently went to the party but have come home early because i was so worried. she has still got her mouth open with her tongue poking out and is shuddering, shes quite lethargic too. There will be no vets open tomorrow due to new years day aand im so scared for my baby :(

  2. There should be an emergency vet in your area or else ring your local vet and the answerphone message will hopefully give you details on who to call for after-hours emergencies. Vets are like doctors, there should be someone on call 24/7, even on holidays, in your area, the only thing is an emergency call is likely to be much more expensive. But I would be worried too about poor Luna, so please call/search/google for an emergency vet in your area and if you find one, I wouldn't leave it till tomorrow.

  3. This link lists vets and emergency vets in your area, pick the ones nearest to you and start checking their websites or ringing:

If it was hot weather, I'd say it sounded like she was overheating but it's winter where you are, and besides, that shouldn't go on for hours. Could she have eaten anything toxic?

  17. Hi everyone, have just got back from the emergengy vet and Luna is back to her normal self! Horray!! She had chewed a small bit of plastic and it was stuck on her back tooth, no wonder she couldnt close her mouth, shes perfectly fine now and has jus eaten some soft food.
Oh what a worry and what a great start to the new year, 2 hours sleep, poorly kitty, hour jorney to the emergency vet, £100 spent, got pulled over by the police on the way back checking for drink drivers and got hopelessy lost lol BUT i really dont care as i have my Luna in one piece and thats all that matters!
I have updated pics on facebook to show you how much Tiberius and Luna have grown since we moved

  18. Oh, no, Luna, you little rascal. I'm so glad she's all right. Sorry about the long journey on icy roads (I didn't even think about that, that's anxiety-making in itself) and the large vet's bill but it's a very joyful thing that little Luna is good as new again! Such a relief. Please give her lots of smooches from me!

  19. Oh, aren't they gorgeous? I love that one of her peeping out of the drawer, and curled up in a little ball sleeping next to Tiberius, and stretching out with her little tum on show and her 'arms' and legs in the air ... well, they're all just gorgeous pix!

  26. Glad to hear Luna's doing better! I was thinking the symptoms sounded like she'd swallowed something that had gotten stuck... good to hear it was relatively simple and non-invasive to get fixed! Kitties really do get into everything, it seems like.

  30. TiberiusMum, are you in the UK? If you are, please check out the TDK UK Christmas lunch thread. I tried to bump it, but it won't acknowledge any of my posts
