  1. Good Morning One and All! It's Tuesday and its the New Year. A long time until any exciting time off or holiday or spring. So the kits are making everything covered/dipped in chocolate (white, milk, or dark) or covered in cheese. Chocolate muffins, chocolate chip pancakes and muffins, chocolate chip bagels, chocolate donuts and donuts with chocolate icing, chocolate scones, crossaints dipped in chocolate! There are eggs and cheese, bagels and cheese, hashbrowns with cheese, cheese cubes, fruit and cheese! A chocolate fountain! Hot cocoa! No calories today! Come on by and get your calories! Hope you have a great day. I am off to work where it is so slow I think I could just die of boredom! I will check back later, until then, enjoy!

  2. Hi, MC, I have just been eating some chocolate fudge brownies I baked a few weeks ago and froze -- well, I couldn't help it, I just had to defrost them tonight, yum, yum. So now I am all chocolated out!

To answer your question on the night shift thread, I am a bit worried about the kittens today, they all have gummy eyes which probably means an infection and that they need antibiotics. But because it's still the holidays today, it would have had to have been an emergency vet. So I talked to my boss at the shelter and I am bathing their little eyes with tea and tomorrow we'll see how they are. I would like to take them to the vet tomorrow in any case, I have always been a bit worried about their eyes -- I thought Maddie's was a bit wonky when it first opened -- so it would put my mind at rest.

  3. Oh dear, Jcat! I'm sure you'll do the best you can for the Mmob, but I hope you get plenty of help from the shelter.

    Morning, MC!

  4. Kilroy, their eyes look a lot better, I've just bathed them again, and they're open and clear. The shelter's pretty good about these things and I could always take them to the shelter vet, it's just more convenient for me to take them down the road to mine.

  6. Deb, I can tell from the link that is not going to be a happy story.

    Drive safely and sleep well, hope you feel much better tomorrow, Deb. {{{Deb}}}

  7. Good morning, all. Jcat, I hope the kittens are alright! My Milo sends greetings to his namesake :)

I'm so, so tired this morning, kind of functioning on autopilot and trying to keep my eyes open. Biked 40 miles yesterday to and from work twice. Didn't get home till 10:15 last night, went to sleep at 10:45 and got up at 4:15 to go back to work. When will the weekend be here?
At least all the biking should help me be able to find a nice dress for a swim friend's son's wedding the weekend after next. I've got nothing planned for this coming weekend which will be nice!

  8. Morning everyone!...... popping in briefly, before I hit the shower, and then of to 'that place'...... not really feeling better, but based on my 'sick' day yesterday that was spent putting out fires over the phone, I need to make an appearence........ will try to scoot out early if I can.... good for you MC, taking the time...

..... Jcat, hopeing the M-mob's eyes are ok...... little goopy eyes always worry me too....... Abby seemed to get eye infections a lot when she was little.......

... Deb, hope the head cooperates and that you get some rest!

  9. OMG, GD, I think your plan for this weekend should be SLEEP. WIth two little boys tucked up next to you!

Little Milo sends sleepy purrs back to big Milo on the other side of the world. They seem fine apart from their eyes, eating, sleeping and squeaking, but of course you just want to play it absolutely safe when it comes to their eyesight. I'll keep you posted.

  10. Morning, AV, hope you can get into that office and away again really quickly, you're another one who needs a really good rest!

  11. If I feel better this weekend, I will go get a flu shot. There are a lot of sick people around me these and I (literally!) can't afford to get sick. I wasn't feeling well for a few days, though, so I couldn't go get the shot. I just hope I can get the shot before germs get me. That being said, I've had the flu maybe twice in my whole life. But not taking any chances :)
I hung out with Baby Willow yesterday and she was kind of snotty. Then her dad told me her mom is bed-ridden with something. Arrrrgh! And I got drooled on, sneezed on and chewed on yesterday. Eeek!

Anyway, I hope I don't catch anything and have been taking my vitamins like a good girl. And I will definitely try to rest up this weekend! I will take my car into the shop in 2 weeks when I have another paycheck in the bank. Don't want to deplete funds completely when I can bike back and forth.

  12. Definitely a good idea to get a flu shot, GD, even the mild form of swine flu is no fun at all, as KK will tell you. I hope neither you nor Baby Willow get it!

  13. Morning all... another chilly day in NOLA... full of Ohio State and Arkansas fans as the Sugar Bowl game is tonight at the Superdoms... FYI, I just bumped up a thread started by DM, asking for help on catching stray/feral kittens, but it has a fairly generic name... "Need help urgently" ... If anyone has insight, would appreciate your input! Of to an early meeting at work... yuck! Hope you all have a good day! til later!

  14. I may even try and fit it in this week, Jcat. Working at a gym, I'm exposed to a lot of people and a lot of germs. Ick!
For those of you non-facebookers, I have a couple of Baby Willow pics and a Bobby one and one of Milo in a gift bag. See if this link works:

  15. Where did everyone go?

Posted 1 year ago by GreatDane #

  16. Sorry, GD, got sidetracked. I'm back for a wee bit though I should be in bed, lol.

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  17. Can you open the picture link, I posted? I'm trying out a different web site for pictures, but don't know if it'll work.

Posted 1 year ago by GreatDane #

  18. Ohhh, that is one cute baby Willow and two beautiful cats, GD! The piccy of Bobby is so clear; he is a very handsome boy! And Mi is soooo cute, peeking out!

    I can now, GD.

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  19. Yaay, you can see them!
I got myself a new phone for Christmas and it takes really good pictures compared to my old ones. I took Bobby's picture on the new phone. I chose Picasa because supposedly I can upload pictures directly from my phone to there, but there seems to be some kind of glitch. It says I need a Gmail account so I set one up. Then when I sign in, it says I already have an account and exits! Arrrrgh!

  20. Ooh, that happens to me on websites etc all the time, GD. I can't get into Itunes any more. Doesn't it drive you nuts?

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  21. Nice pics, GD! Jcat, I'm glad the Mmob's eyes are clear - yes, you can't be too careful.

  22. Joan, we'll just see how they are tomorrow. If they're gunked up again, I think a vet visit is the best idea.

  23. Morning All!
Jcat, the kits are growing and adorable! I like the gray one :))
GD, rest up when you can! I get tired just reading your posts, lol.
Those chocolate donuts sure look good, think I'll grab one on my way out :))
HUGS and get well wishes to those in need :))

  24. You're a wonderful kitty foster mum, Jcat. Those are some lucky little babies.

GD, the pictures are great; Baby Willow is a cutie, and the boys, well, that goes without saying.

    Morning, Joan!

Whoops, KH, you sneaked up on me! Morning.

Posted 1 year ago by Kilroy #

  25. Definately the best idea, Jcat. Getting meds into eyes sure is tough, but ever so important.

  26. Morning Kilroy! *waving across the Hudson*

Posted 1 year ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  27. Awww, Kilroy, thank you but Maisie does all the hard work, lol. Hi, KH, I wish they'd grow a little faster, they look a bit scrawny to me, we shall have to feed them up!

Well, I'm off to bed, nighty night and have a great day, everyone!

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  28. Good morning one and all!! Busy day at the Cafe already!!

MC how wonderful a slow day!! Enjoy--and know that today they will not be bothering calling your home phone, cell phone, work phone, and sending someone to your house! You have been insanely hectic and with a student to boot, so enjoy one day of relative peace and quiet!!

JC hope the kittens eyes improve. At least the shelter backs you up! They are adorable!

GD time for a vacation--even if only for a day!

NC I saw DM's thread--I am no good at getting ferals, but there are a bunch that are very good at catching them. My wishes as for success!
