Has anyone tried the featured donut at Krispy Kreme this month? The dark chocolate kreme filled? Looks delicious.

Morning Dee :)
Jane, we have maybe one Krispy Kreme here in Tucson but they don't make them here so I bypass the place, and haven't been to Dunkin Donuts for years. Sorry about your knee hurting you, glad to hear that Maisie has the kitten crazies!

Well, Deb, that's probably very wise and it's probably just as well for my waistline that we don't have them here, since we have temptations enough :-)
Dee, your lemon donuts are not tart? But the whole point of lemon is that it's tart. I think lemon is my all-time favourite flavour, even more than dark chocolate or coffee... My mum's lemon chiffon tart, yummmmmmmm!

We just made fresh salsa here with nice crisp tortilla chips to go with the ham I made at home, very tasty indeed.

Jane, wish we were closer to each other, I would give you the lemons off of my tree....they are the size of small grapefruits.

Thanks, Deb, it doesn't hurt unless I bend it.... :-( Maisie is exhausting when she has the crazies. I tried playing with a 'fishing' toy with her but she preferred playing herd of thundering wildebeest leap from piece of furniture to piece of furniture with only moderate crash-bang-walloping!
Ooh, Dee, me too! Ooh, Deb, I wish we lived closer too, I have planted about five lemon trees and lost them all. I would LOVE to have a friendly lemon-tree owner next door. Even if you just squeeze one into a long cool glass of water on a hot day, they are divine and so good for you!

You are so lucky, Deb! Living in an apt, I am always so jealous of people who have citrus trees. And so often, when I drive past a house, they will have tons of fruit rotting on the ground! I always wish that I could be brave enough to knock on their door and offer then money to get some fruit off their trees!
I used to work with a woman who had a grapefruit tree that produced the sweetest grapefruit I have ever eaten. She hated grapefruit and so did everyone in her family. She would bring me bags of it and pretty much angrily hurl it at me because she hated that tree and she hated that she had to constantly pick up all that awful fruit from that big tree...haha! I was in heaven with all that delicious grapefruit. It was the kind that you have to eat over the sink because it would explode with juice!
-
The tree in my backyard has the huge lemons and my neighbor to the rear has a tree with the smaller lemons, their tree hangs over my fence and is loaded with lemons. I love grapefruit but can't eat it because of the bp meds I have to take, so annoying.
Jane, and if one has too many lemons, its always good to squeeze them and put the juice into ice cube trays for those glasses of water that need the touch of lemon in them.

Morning everyone!....... Many in Tampa have citrus trees in the back yards..... the house I raised my family in had a lemon and an avacado tree in it....... we really enjoyed them!...... now, living in Hyde Park, the lots are much smaller, so we have very little yard....... Mr. AV has managed, however, to plant grape plants in large tubs....... no harvest yet, this will be our first year.....
.... only here briefly this morning, must get rolling and out the door early today....... busy day ahead at work......
..... fingers crossed for Mr./Ms.Meegz - hope things work out with the mortgage and they get the house they want......
..... love the M-mob pics, hope little Millie continues to improve....
..... Deb, hope the sinuses calm down and you get some rest!
.... have a great day everyone!...... hope this week is good for everyone!

Morning AV :)
Growing up in California, we had a 40' tall avocado tree that was fantastic, a lemon tree, kaumquat tree, pomengranete tree, plum tree, orange tree and large aloe plants.

That's part of my worry too, Deb, if she's only nine months, this may well be her first litter and she is probably young and inexperienced. I just hope she doesn't accidentally hurt them through being too rough. Hopefully I am just being a terrible worrywart. It wasn't ever something I worried about with Juliet. I might ask Val's advice tomorrow. Take care everyone.

Aww, the M-mob is a group of young ones. Good thing they have you JCAT to watch over them!

Morning, all! Need to prop my eyes open today. Still fighting the end of the bronchitis I have had since the first of the month. I'm getting better, but it's been a long week.
Chance decided to become a hair dresser this morning. I was sitting in my chair reading the paper before leaving for work and he jumped to the back of the chair. He then decided to hold my head and run his paws through my hair. Sometimes he even bit at it. I thanked him for his services and then went and re-combed it before leaving for work.Posted 1 year ago by LadyKat of IA #

LOL, he thinks he might get to be on the next reality show! G'morning Ladykat and hope that you feel better soon.

Morning, all. Jcat, I think the Mmob are incredibly lucky to have you to keep an eye on them.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. I made green chile stew yesterday and it came out pretty good, but not spicy enough. And Mr. K made linguini (actually angel hair) with clams on Satuday, and it was YUM.
LK, George used to lick Mr. K's hair, all over his head. He hasn't done it for a while, but I always thought it was kind of sweet, like he was grooming him.

Morning! I'm a sucker for Boston Cream donuts.
Wish I could have fruit-bearing trees where I live but it probably would invite too many bears. As a kid, we had grapes, strawberries, rhubarb, and apple, pear & peach trees, as well as mulberry bushes.Posted 1 year ago by JoanfromNewJersey #
