Happy Snowy NS! (or at least it is here!). We will have virtual snow for those of you in non snow zones! There is a bbq going on tonight to help make us think warm. All the things you would expect at a normal bbq, only inside in January! YUM! I am having a lovely bratwurst, spicy mustard, german potato salad and watermelon. I will have a nice margarita to help it all slide down. Gonna snuggle under my Colts snuggie with Betty and Wilma and greet everyone who comes by. Hope you stop in and say hello!

Woohoo, my furminator has been shipped to me! Can't wait to use it on Ringo and Dara.
MC, a BBQ sounds like a great idea. I'll have some ribs, potato salad and watermelon too. Actually I might have to buy some watermelon tonight - they're in season here at the moment and I have a lovely recipe for a watermelon, red onion, feta and black olive salad.

Ooooooh summer foods! Bratwurst for me please, with mustard and relish and also a whole plate of deviled eggs...I <3 deviled eggs!
In real life, I just ate the last of my lasagne from last night...turned out pretty darn good if I do say so myself! Even Roxy licked the bowl clean :) Right now, I'm freezing my tail feathers off...I came home to no heat in the apartment! It's about 55 right now but I've got the maintenance guy on it (thank god for 24 hour maintenance!) Roxy is snuggled into a velour blanket for the meantime and I'm thinking about joining her!

Hi everyone! It's 25 degrees and cold outside..brrrrr
Wayne is sick and has been in bed all day, so I am on the couch tonight. Don't feel like sleeping next to him tonight..I hope he feels better tomorrow.
Got my hair chopped short today..needed a big change and so far I like it...still have to tweak it though and play with it a bit.Watching American Pickers on the history channel and just relaxing now. On the couch, covered up, pillows and getting ready to go to bed.

Glad you went for it and chopped the hair CM - bet it looks nice and you don't have to deal with static hair. My fine long hair would stick straight out this time of year if I didn't use a leave-in conditioner!

Oh I love deviled eggs. I had a coworker who gave me a recipe for her heavenly version of deviled eggs. Unfortunately in my last move it got purged with some papers that I had shredded. So I am on a quest to find another good recipe.
W**k wasn't too bad today. Frustrated by a coworker complaining to me, her boss and my boss when all they had to do was come directly to me. Will discuss this with my boss in our weekly touch base.
Cold here this morning for Northern Calif! Ground was was covered in white frost and the roofs all looked like it had snowed with all the white frost on them. Running the heat to keep my kitties warm.

Evening all, just cooking up some potatoes for a potato salad tonight. I think I might make KK's water melon salad. It's also sweet corn season and there are road side stalls selling it all round my city, yummmmmmmm. We've had another hot day so we've stuck close to home and the fan or pool.

For those in the US & UK who may not have heard about the flooding in Australia here is video of a flash flood that happened yesterday. It did claim eight lives and apparently there are 72 people still missing. It is very frightening.

Evening Deb and SMM. The flooding in Australia has been simply terrible. After 10 years of heartbreaking drought and bush fires now they have rains that won't stop and I guess the ground is so hard is can't soak up the rain and they get floods although in some areas the ground is water logged. I am sorry to hear about the flooding.
Odysseus is well... he complains every day about his diet. At night he makes his sniffing rounds around my rooms, opens each floor level drawer to check if I neglected to remove anything edible, steals a piece of laundry, and adds it to his nest under my bed.
