Happy Caturday Littermates! Hope your little corner of the world is treating you well today. I am up early, insomnia was a guest at my house last night. The girls slept and I was counting sheep! LOL We have a simple brekkie today, donuts from Dunkin Donuts and some pasteries from Panera. There is also cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. Come on by and say hello! What are you plans for the weekend? I need to go to the supermarket here in a bit before all the weekend "crazy" shoppers get out and about!

Hi, MC, yum yum, doughnuts, I will pick up a few before I head off to bed. All I did today was recover from the week, tomorrow (Sunday) I may have a friend coming round and we will go find some nice lunch :-) Otherwise, I will be working, bills to pay and I am behind on everything, as usual :-(
MC, you need to kick that guest out on his ear.

I agree JCAT, I agree! How funny, Little Miss Wilma was sitting here with me and walked across the keyboard and turned the computer OFF! Then she lay on the keyboard and wouldn't move! She started swatting at me and biting when I tried to move her. Guess she doesn't want me on the computer! How is the M Mob?

Sorry, MC, I got distracted, saying good night to the M-Mob, actually. Millie is still a slow developer, I am worried about her, but Milo and Maddie are having lots of fun clambering around now and stalking each other, and Maisie is still crazy, an enthusiastic but slightly wrong-headed mother and vigorous licker! Hope you manage to avoid anyone too weird at the store. Little Miss Wilma thinks her meowmy should stop working and start peying attention to her, lol!

Morning everyone!...... I've been lazy this morning, especially since I'm 'house bound' for both this weekend and the next....... today is the start of the Gasparilla parades, it's the children's parade....... my little 2- year old grand niece and her mom/aunts/grandma are coming over and we're going to the parade, then coming back here to grill...... until then, I only have minor chores to get ready.......
...... a bit chilly today, I just hope it doesn't rain!

I did good at the gym today! But my stupid headache is definitely back :( Looking on the bright side, I did get a break for almost 6 weeks.

Morning everyone! It's 2 here, but it is supposed to get cold tomorrow and Monday, lol! They say to beat the winter blues is to get outside; yeah, well me and my winter blues are just fine indoors by the fire! I'll get some sunlight thru the windows, thank you very much! Going to see about brewing something in the crockpot; makes the house smell good and gives us something piping hot for dinner. Laundry is going now - thankfully nothing is frozen.
I am going to have a boston cream donut and a hot chocolate this morning.What's your cat's question?

Spinach and Tomato Pasta Salad (Chef Meg's Makeover)
Most pasta salads are heavy on the pasta and light on everything else. This version, which can be served warm or cold, includes a hefty portion of vegetables--both spinach and tomatoes.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz small pasta, such as ditalini or orzo
8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
16 oz grape tomatoes
4 c baby spinach
2 T capers, drained
1/4 t black pepper
2 T Parmesan or Manchego cheese, shreddedDIRECTIONS
Cook pasta according to package directions until it is al dente (firm to bite). While the pasta is cooking, place spinach, feta, and capers in a large bowl. Before draining pasta, add 1/4 cup of the pasta cooking liquid to the mixture; toss to combine. Place the tomatoes in the bottom of a colander. Once pasta is cooked, drain it over the tomatoes for a quick blanch. Toss tomatoes and pasta with the spinach mixture. Season with black pepper and garnish with shredded cheese.
Makes six-2 cup servings.Number of Servings: 6

Morning, all! It is sunny but chilly here in NOLA.... Merlin slept inside last night, but insisted on going out when I got up and fed everyone. He was back at the door 5 minutes later begging to get back in... his paws were sooo cold! He is now napping in the sun on the porch! No specific plans today, but tomorrow a friend is coming into town for a conference, so we are having dinner together! Had a fantastic lunch on my employer yesterday as I hosted a visiting faculty candidate... a John Besch restaurant called Domenica in the Roosevelt Hotel - italian influenced, I had tagliatelle with rabbit ragu, and a yummy salad with tomato and mozzarella... sigh.... The posta salad recipe looks great! May have to try it next week... after I finally get to the store!

Hubby took a steak out of the freezer. I inherited my dad's winter parka, & we've dubbed it "the grillin' parka". He's going to need it tonight! The good news is that he's only a short way from the warmth & coziness of the house!

Ah, the crazies are out and I am HOME! YAY! I got what I needed and now I don't have to go out any more today. Thank goodness, its snowing nad its maybe 10F. I have laundry, dishes to take from the dishwasher, litterboxes to change, you know, weekend stuff to do!
