$637 later and I have my car back (yay). There's still an expensive fix for the front end needed, and my "Service Engine Soon" light still comes on...probably from some oxygen sensor now that my dual catalytic converters have been replaced (four months ago). But I have heat, and not an overheating car :-)

Good morning! Don't have much a chance to chat with work being so heavy during this time of the year. I'll get a little rest for a couple of weeks in February...then it will be full speed ahead!

Sio, I chuckled at the song you're singing as you go off to work :) but the car repair cost really stinks! I hate "wasting" money on that stuff, but we have to, I guess. Either that, or we become Amish and drive a horse and buggy!

Morning, all. It's snowing pretty hard here, but for now it seems to be light, fluffy stuff that might not stick. If it piles up enough, though, we could have a mess.
I made it to the pool, though, and did 10 lengths! And I walked the half mile to work, since it's a huge time waste to go into the subway just to go one stop. Luckily it's a lot warmer than it was yesterday.
Mr. K is making pizza tonight for dinner and I'm going to be drooling in anticipation all day :)

Morning everyone, hope that everyone is doing well, haven't looked at any of the back threads at all.
my computer decided last night to be putzy and not work! Finally fiddled with it enough but going to look for a copy of Windows 7 since Windows XP is no longer avail anywhere. Had one of the guys at 'that place' work on my computer last summer/fall and he put in a copy of Windows XP that wasn't validated or it was single-use and he put it on mine....argh! I have a good copy of Windows XP on my other hard drive unfortunately I can't access the flipping thing right now. So besides being sick with this cold/flu/allergies/sinus (have no clue nothing is working on that either) now I have been arguing with the computer :( Sorry had to vent....

Deb--if you have a Dell computer, I just checked and I have the Reinstallation DVD for mine for Windows XP, but it's the Media Center Edition. If this would help you, I could send it to you. Don't know how old your Comp. is, but it's the 2005 edition.

It's soo cold today. It was snowing this morning and it took me 2 hours and 7 minutes to get to school! I ended up missing my first course today because of it. Now the hot water heater is broken at home and Mike is freaking out because he has to go to school in less than 2 hours and needs a shower. It's ice cold. We are trying to boil pots of water for him to take a bath in but it's taking forever...

Oh no Gini, no hot water bites big time! Hope the Super can help get it fixed soon! Sounds like a sponge bath for him. Better to maybe visit a local Y or gym for his shower.
Hope you get you computer worked out, AZDeb. I have XP Home but I never got the recovery disk.

Heavens, I hope that whatever I had or have is on the way out now. Slept horribly last night and had the sweats/chills most of it, hope that it broke it whatever it is. Now just the stuffy head, terrible headache and aching all over thing....and I got the flu shot in September, what's up with that!

Miss roxy had her very first catnip experience tonight. The girl is passed out cold! Flopped out flat on her back and purring very loudly sporadically. Wish it was legal for people to use catnip. It looks like fun!
