  1. Cut finger. We had a chiropractor once try and get treatment for a back injury by attaching it to a cut finger

  2. Just had a mental flash of a finger grafted to some fat backside. You guess which finger ;D

  4. Gotta agree with everyone in front of me! Get thy butt moving to thy new job!

  5. Terri, I wholeheartedly agree with KittenWhisperer on the fact that the new job is probably where you should go. Why stay with a company where the owners undermine your authority and cause you more stress. If the job is closer to home, is either the same or more money and has managers that support your decisions, I would go to the new job. Are you going to go talk to a lawyer about filing charges and suing?

  6. Instinct hit the nail on the head-God not only opened a window, he gave you a whole friggin' open air balcony! The new job sounds like the perfect fit, and let the old boss face what ever comes on his own. You deserve better than you have gotten at that job-time to move on and live in the sunshine!

  7. Rainingwolf! How are you - we don't see you much here these days!

  8. Terri, making a change like going to a new job is always scary. But within a couple of weeks - 10 days, think about it! - you will be a veteran.
Please don't let that fear stop you. Step out of your comfort zone and go for it.
We are behind you all the way, and will hold hands with you while you are taking that risk.
You are too good a person to be subjected to the kind of abuse you have been enduring.
    Love you!
    Peace, hugs and purrs.

  9. Terri, you know I am most worried about the fact that this happened once, and an assult very out of character for an adult. He has been admitted to a mental health facility, that is a good thing. My problem is if you choose to stay, what's to say he would not come back to hurt you again, with more than a bite, maybe a gun or knife. My advice is to leave for the new job, get a fresh new start and put this chapter of your life behind you, and look forward to the new experience coming in your life. I wish the best for the tortured man, but not at the expense of my friend. Love Lynn

  10. Hi, GD! I've had pneumonia so have been off for awhile. Then got a staph infection in my lungs-common with people on ventilators. Nasty stuff. Good to be back!

  11. Awwww, sorry, you haven't been well, Rainingwolf! Hope you're better now.
We missed you and are happy to have you back!
I had a nasty cold that turned into bronchitis - it's finally getting better after almost 6 weeks.

  12. wow...tiger where the heck are you working????? that's interesting though! well, i'd say at least try to stay at ur job until you r accepted soemhwere else. you've just started and it may look bad on a resume f u leave jobs too fast. besides, the job may turn out in the end. but if u do find another, better job then by all means go for it if it makes you feel better!

  13. Patti, she has been at this job a while. She has an offer to start Monday at her new job. The episode happened at her current job as of this week. If she goes to the new job on Monday all will be well. The concern is if she stayed at the current job, where the attack took place. Seems like a no brainer to me!

  14. OOOHHH ok thnks for the correction! Ok sorry then! correction...if you feel best at the new job, then go for it! I agree.

  15. Dear Terri,

Your former boss, the biter, is an incredible creep and is guilty of assault. Please get out of that office. It is a rotten and miserable place, and short of working in the sewers, I can't think of any more toxic atmosphere.

More money means nothing when you have little respect for a group of people who have shown little or no respect for you. Please remember that money is a renewable resource. Nature hates a vacuum.

Some workplaces are the La Brea Tarpits of Labor. Yours is one.

Run, sweetie. I've got your back, several of us have whack-bonk sticks, and you deserve much better than you've gotten from this job.

    Much love,
    Emma

  16. Terri,

Whether or not the "mental distress" is his way of getting out of charges or a genuine recognition that something is wrong, you do NOT owe this creep anything. Do what's right for you and get OUT of there.

He might have gone over the edge and be mentally ill, but he is still a JERK. And being a JERK can't be cured overnight, even if he wanted to be cured.

You have the escape hatch of the new job--use it, dear!

He has never looked out for you and you have no reason to look out for him.

  17. I agree with AnnF. Take the new job and be happy for yourself! You deserve it.
I worked for an agency where the son took the clients ccards and charge tickets for others and sold the tickets for more money, yada yada yada and
I blew him in. He got fired, yeah right and they said he NEVER WOULD BE BACK.
Well, guess what, no charges were ever brought, and he came BACK! I left.

  18. OK, Terri, check in with us, huh?? Send up a flare or something

  19. TERRI!!; I'm SO sorry I've been away from here w/school and haven't been informed on this most serious of issues of your's.Reading over the thread has got me wondering...WHY? Why,Terri, are you even debating this choice? Take the new job and don't look back.I know YOU'D be telling me the same thing if the inverse were happening.AB is right when she says change will be a little scary, but it will pass.Besides, what's scarier, ultimately? Pray to the Lord to send His Holy Spirit to guide you.You know as well as I that when we pray for anything,we MUST pray in Faith, trusting that He hears and will deliver on His promises to us.Please email me anytime you need to talk,Terri.
May God continue to bless you and keep you. :)

  20. You are always in my prayers, Terri. Please just get out and stay out and start the new job on Monday. Your former boss bites in more ways than one!
