Help and prayers for Duchess

Sorry you were seemingly attacked. Hopefully it's just crazy girl going predator. Hopefuly some of the remedies the other have suggested work for you. Not too long ago I was mauled by Checkers. He loves to lie stretched out on the floor and I'll go pick him up, scratch his head, love on him etc and then put him back down. Well, this one time I went to pick him up he jumped on my hands and went crazy. I tried several times to get close to him and he'd attack. My hands were a bloody mess, and I have scars from it. Finally I managed to get a towel on him and take him to back to try and see if something was wrong. Turns out our dishwasher was spooking him (it was having an issue and making a loud knocking sound). I didn't figure it out til I had him in another room and he calmed down. Since then I haven't had any more problems other than him biting my hand once in while being a silly kitty. I don't know if maybe a loud sound perhaps spooked her and made her lash out? I hope you get it all worked out.

While most of you I do thank and appreciate all of your help and advice it means quite a lot to me. It did help me. Please do not take offense to what I say next.
I was very offended by some of the comments made and while most of them were of concern and helping some I felt quite hurt and attacked. I also felt that Mr. DM was being attacked too. Perhaps I read too much into it and perhaps it wasn't meant to be taken that way. Either way, it still hurt my feelings and I wanted you to realize that what you type can be taken in a different way then what you meant.

Schminken I wish you wouldn't leave. I didn't take part in this thread so I haven't read every post completely but I think you gave good advice and you were misunderstood. We've already lost FF50 (and others) and it would be a shame if you left. I love your posts and pictures of Jax. Please reconsider, I can tell you never meant to hurt anyone.

I hear your pain. Misty is getting old and her joints hurt and she's started to snap at me when I touch the wrong place. But at least I already know what's wrong with her. When you don't know, it's very upsetting.
I have a patient who says "time, patience and love" is the key to all healing. Wise man. Hang in there with your babies. We're behind you 100 percent.
