  1. Well I have been saving pop bottle caps and today dropped one on the floor... it has been 45 minutes now and Callie has not stopped playing with it! So I dropped 2 more down and she is just going nuts! This is more fun to watch than anything on TV right now.

  2. This sounds like my Roxy and milk jug rings. My Lord she goes crazy over milk jug rings LOL I won't hear a peep out of that cat for at least two hours until she's knocked it under the stove or couch and wants me to fish it out :/ Silly kitteh...

  3. Sound like fun! Yup kits can keep themselves entertained with the simplest things! Crockey likes paper balls from crunched up receipts!

  5. Love it. We rarely watch tv anymore our cats are so much fun to watch and play with, KL. And my kids had some oversized pipe cleaners that are currently Leo's favorite toy, WWM.

  7. I wash and reuse my water bottles a couple of times before throwing them out, and usually leave the bottles in the drain rack and put the caps in the silverware cup of the drainer. First time I did this, in the middle of the night I hear this "swish, swish, swish" noise--and get up to find Cali batting a plastic cap around on the floor. I thought "did I drop it somwhere, or leave it out?" I put it back in the container with the silverware. Pretty soon I hear noises again--the little minx had gotten it out of the drainer cup again. Now, I have to dry the caps and put them into a drawer to keep track of them!! Once in a while, when I throw bottles away, I'll give her one. Don't know where they go, but I imagine I'll find a stash under the couch.

  8. MCM...trust me...the couch and/or under the stove are EXCELLENT hiding spots for toys! Just ask Roxy...she knows ALL about it heehee

  9. Molly used to love the milk jug rings. She would bring them to me to fit on her head in some way so she could shake or send them flying. Then she would race after them to bring them back to do it all over again. Poor thing, since I stopped drinking milk, she hasn't had one to play with! I wonder if she misses them. Course if I dug under the stove, or the fridge, or the couch, I'm sure we could come up with a few hundred or so.

  10. Yes, in the "Things you need to get before you bring your cat home" lists they leave off the most important.....a yardstick for getting toys out from under the washer/dryer, refrigerator, dressers, etc... And, PJ, Petsmart sells a toy made to similate milk jug rings...sort of silly, I know, since the rings on milk jugs are free. But, I have to admit I picked up a pack since they were less than $2. The cats do love them.

  12. Raffy & Huddy likes milk bottle rings and Q-tips. It's very entertaining. Rocky is non-plussed by everything :)

  13. My two have always loved the little furry "puffballs" (that's what I call them), and invariably they end up under something. So I tie a long shoestring on them so I can see the string and pull them out of wherever they happen to get batted. They also learned that they can do that, too!! Smart kitties! Max also likes used Kleenex which he steals out of waste baskets--yuck!
