  1. Some people leave this world and the space left behind is smaller than a pin prick.

Others leave a raw and gaping hole where they once were.

Brian was one of the second kind.

    They are in my prayers.

  2. Thanks for all of your kind words. As sad as his passing is, I smile every time I think about him. Here are some of the photos he took for Sports Illustrated: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/1103/brian-lanker-tribute/content.1.html

He was very skilled at bringing out the true spirit of the people he photographed.

  3. Thank you Emma, you said it well. I haven't posted as I seem to have lost so many this past year and it goes on and on, but I know it is my age. KW thanks for posting this. RIP to all the sweet people we have lost in our lives. It is a time for remembering. We are all here for a reason. Thank you TDK family for being here, too.

  4. Keep the faith, honey. When you believe in God, death is a promotion.

  5. End of life issues do NOT need to be sad only! There can be a great deal of joy when a family has a good attitude and much love. These experiences need to be shared!

  7. KW- my condolences on the loss of your friend and neighbor. Having paged through his book, he was indeed a talented man. What a wonderful legacy he has left behind.
