It's quarter past ten here, definitely time to start the night shift. (If it's still too early for you, join in anyway)

Afternoon or rather late evening for you PM, hope that your day went well :) I am here for a few mins then trying to rest a bit before work. Hope that everyone brings their wit, humour, good energy, and friendliness to the night shift this evening!

so far so good, Harry had proved himself a devious thief. I put up a thread about it under the cats heading.
How is your day going???Posted 4 years ago by TheKnittingNinja #

BHM, I slept in a bit and woke with Shadz tucked up tight against me, daddy let her in as he went to work. She has been spending her nights out hunting. So far my day has been slow.

Good evening to you all. My day was busy as usual. Most days I start teaching at 8.00 am and don't finish until around 5.00pm. This term we have parents' evenings as well almost every week, so Monday (for example) I got to school at 7.30am and didn't leave again until 7.00pm. That makes it a LONG day. Today was shorter, but I was shattered from yesterday .............

Good programmes on BBC!
Hey, anyone got any ideas? I have to do assembly tomorrow. That means standing up in front of the whole school and speaking for about 15 minutes. It's suppose to be something vaguely uplifting (in the moral rather than physical sense, so I can't string any of them up) and/or interesting. I HATE doing it. I was sort of thinking about talking about Roger McGough (one of the Liverpool poets) and what two of his poems in particular mean to me.

that sounds like a good topic. I always hate talking infront of people and will stare into the lights so I can't see the people

Um, er, I was terrified of having to talk to the class at school, can't think of a topic off the top of my head.

I don't mind talking to my classes, when I am teaching them my subject. I'll happily talk to any number of people if I am given a factual brief (explain XYZ to this lot) but just being told to stand up and say something "improving"????????????????

I'm going to the rugby on Sunday, straight after church. Saracens (my team) are playing Bath. Should be a good match.

Roger McGough is a very funny poet. Read "The Lesson" and you'll see what I mean.
