  1. Baseball season is here! I used to be a huge baseball fanatic (I wanted to write for Baseball Digest when I was in High School). Now I'm just happy that it means it's Spring and Summer is just around the corner. So in honor of Baseball the buffet is covered in ball-park fare: hot dogs with ALL the toppings, pretzels (salted and nekkid) with any dipper you want, or don't! Nacho's, pretzels and of course PEANUTS in the shell! Beer is on tap and iced cold soda's, too. If ballpark fare is not your thing just let the kitteh's behind the grill know what you would like and it will be served up promptly.

I'm having a big soft, nekkid pretzel with yellow mustard on top. A nice big boiled to death hot dog with mustard and onions and a big giant caffeine free diet coke. Going to go settle in my bed and watch some ball right now. Might be back later.

Come on in and have some fun! The organ is playing lotsa ballpark tunes!

  3. Our newspaper has been consumed the last few days about Barry Bonds. As if any of us thought that he wasn't using performance enhancing drugs? Oh ,please...

But we are blessed her with having a farm team - where the love of the game is still pure. Where men play for the love of the game. Where fans come and cheer for the love of the game. And so I salute the Rockhounds on this NS and say... Go all the way!!!

  5. Is this what our TDKers from New Zealand smell like?

  6. Yep, Dee, that's exactly what we Kiwis smell of ;-) river, ocean, snow, grass, bark, leaves and especially stone. Wherever I rest, there is a haunting fragrance of stone in the air...

But on special occasions, Byzance is nice too.

  7. Well, let me just say that is AWEsome.

  8. Evening all, spent the morning b*m up and head down in the garden planing out flowers for winter blooming and pulling out all my dead and dying tomato plants for composting. Spent the rest of the day shopping with the girls, buying nothing.
Dee, yes we Kiwis definitely small of river, ocean, snow, grass, bark, leaves and stone. I think the stone may be a hint of fallen buildings in Christchurch. There is definitely have a grassy barky aroma about me, but that may or may not be due to my gardening habits.
Oh, it's raining gently, great for the plants I put in the garden.
Off out again, have a great evening all.

  9. Peeks in and all is quiet on the TDK home front.

Won't be staying long, killer migraine this evening and not being able to kick it down a notch yet. Jan and Jane, take care and sleep well, scritches to all the kitties in the morning and I should be back on tomorrow.

  11. Love both those videos too, the little kids were too funny with them both trying to kick their little legs up. Love your links :D Like Greebo the best out of all of them, he is just a bruiser :) The guilty dog video is cute, those are the treats that the crew love the best.

Ok going back to lying down, thought I could sit up for a bit....not a good choice right now...

  13. Oh Deb, sorry about that nasty horrible migraine, hope you can send it back where it belongs. Reading back threads for a while.

  14. Nasty horrible migraine, leave our friend alone.
Was about to head to bed and then a new series of Red Dwarf came on. That's it, Airy and I are settled in for a while. HRH is asleep on the seat cushion from 'her' chair but the cushion is sat on the bean bag. She and Airy had a disagreement about who was sitting in the chair. After playing musical chairs Airy lifted HRH AND seat cushion onto the bean bag and claimed the chair while HRH curled up happy with her victory in getting the set cushion.

  15. Awww, a judgement worthy of Solomon, MS. There has been a horribly noisy party and loud music playing here all night but I can't hear it right now -- maybe they have finally given up and gone to bed (here's hoping). It was a beautiful sunny day here today. How was your Saturday, MS?

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  16. We had an overcast day for most of it and then the rain started this afternoon which I'm happy about as I planted out cinneraria and hollyhocks. Unfortunately I haven't got my silver beet in the ground yet, that's for tomorrow. So it's your turn for the noisy party, I'm glad you didn't have to call the police or noise control.

  17. I spoke too soon, I just couldn't hear it from here but I can again now :( Also, Mills just accidentally scratched me in the eye and ow, it's sore!

    Hollyhocks! I love hollyhocks!

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  18. Ohhhhhhhhhh, do you have something to wash the eye with Jcat, don't want you getting a nasty eye.
We've had quite a bit of rain so far, not heavy but very steady.
I love hollyhocks too put so far I haven't managed to get them to the heights other people have. I had a beautiful double pink this year, but it was very short. I also have sweetpeas germinating in little news paper pots. Airy gave me a wooden tool that shapes the wee pots.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  19. I have my contact lens solution, I'll go do that now, MS, that's a good idea. BRB.

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  20. Ooh, I like the idea of the paper pots. Very clever.

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  21. Very green, it's just a strip of newspaper and the little wooden tool crimps the bottom of the paper to make a pot. This is the first time I have used them.
    How's the eye now Jcat?

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  22. Feeling a bit better, thanks, MS, I gave it a good rinse with my contact lens solution, it's supposed to clean and disinfect the lenses so hopefully it will do the same with my eye. Still sore round my eye though where those little claws went into the skin, ouch.

Milo just slipped off the desk, she is a little clumsy klutz, poor mite.

  23. Are't they funny wee things at this age, all in a hurry to do something and half way through they decide to do something different and fall over themselves in the transition.
Rain just got heavier, I am not enjoying the rain, liking it for the garden but my knees have swollen up so big and painful I've had to take anti inflammatories, and even now the pain is rather distracting. Ohhhhhhhhhh, it's getting even heavier. I hope Mr MS and his friend are ok out at sea fishing.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  24. Oh, MS, you poor thing, I didn't realise you had trouble with your knees. I hope Mr MS is okay too but he has plenty of experience, I'm sure he and his friend know just what to do.

I don't suppose you can text him out to sea, can you?

Posted 1 year ago by jcat #

  25. I do know that the seas are quite flat and they are tucked up in a beautiful sheltered bay, they're both very careful when it comes to weather and safety.

    Posted 1 year ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  26. Jcat, don't forget to change your clocks back an hour for the end of Day light savings.
WOW! Now the rain is super heavy and the front porch is Niagara falls.
