It's a gloomy day in SW Michigan...this weekend we are supposed to experience rain, snow, thunderstorms and crazy temperatures! So far we are onto the drizzle part of the weather line-up. Is it summer yet???

Yeesh Deb! Don't know how it happened with this generation, but they are pretty quiet till we get up. Leela has always slept in till we get up. Comet wakes but aside from singing a little and demanding pets from mostly-asleep mama, he's pretty mellow in the morning too.

Joan, most days mine are pretty mellow, the past couple of days though omg they have been into the cartoon wrestling down the hallway mess!
I understand the little bird in this one, ppl put fancy things on their bird baths, all the bird wants is to drink and roll around in one :)

Miss Roxy is just fine this morning but she must have been talking to Deb's crew through the wormhole because someone was being a brat earlier. Her favorite is to hop on my chest while I'm sleeping and lean in as close as she possibly can to my face while staring at me. She also likes to knock empty drinking glasses off the kitchen counter to get my attention. I'm positive the apartment below me loves it when she does that :/

I feel very lazy today. Just got up about 45 mins ago (11 am est) but we were out until 3 last night! My Hubby is the president of the computer science honors society on campus and also an officer in the general club (yay honey!) So they threw a LAN party last night. So we had Wiis going and PS3s and Xbox Kinect playing dance central and we topped it off with a 9 person epic game of Fantasy Munchkin that lasted for the last few hours of the event. I really needed an evening like that because I've been training at the rape crisis center all week to volunteer there. So it was a great way to unwind :) Now it seems like a good day to open the windows and curl up with the kits. Cas has already made himself at home curled up against my legs. Cali has claimed the under side of the bed though once the neighbor finishes cutting their grass I plan to open the window and I'm sure that is where she'll be the rest of the day lol.

Some serious unwinding for you Kit - good for you! It's sunny here but a bit too chilly to open windows just yet. Leela has found an afgan next to the bed by the window for now, but knowing it's sunny she will probably move to her afternoon perch soon. Comet is entertaining himself somewhere...

I copied a country music cd for my friend for her birthday. I also got her jubjubes. I can't say I am a fan of either but my friend loves Zac Brown. I think she will enjoy it. I want to get her comfortable with Itunes. It really isn't complicated and I think she would like it once she saw how easy it is to use.

Ola, everyone!..... waiting in the Aeropuerto for the flight back to Fla. :(
.... we had a wonderful time!...... Bobby, Cuddles and Abby were very good kitties, and made a new 'gato negro' friend at Grand Melia golf resort, near San Juan...... they all bought little sun hats to wear, Cuddles didn't like her first one, but LOVED her 'Rasta' hat, like Bobby had...... Abby and Bobby scubba dived and really enjoyed the crystal clear blue water!....... over all, a wonderful trip, now we're just waiting to fly home, and then will probably have major cleaning and washing to do tomorrrow...... will post pics as soon as I can!........ adios, Puerto Rico, what a beautiful country!

Welcome back AV! You were missed! Cant wait to hear stories and see pictures. Sounds lovely. Its kinda cold here so I would love to hear about warm weather. I have been mostly lazy today but then again, it is the weekend and if I can catch up on some sleep, all the better. Gonna be a super busy week next week so I am gearing up for it!

*groan* We did highway clean-up duty today with a very few members of our bike club. 12 people signed up - 5 people showed up. Grrrrr. The trash was unbelievable. Why can't people save their trash and throw it into a garbage can?? (more grrrrrr) And these oil field guys who just toss stuff into the back of their pickups must know that it's going to blow out. I cannot believe how many plastic bags and plastic bottles we picked up. Boy, were we dirty!!!

Hope that everyone is enjoying a wonderful day! 8 hours at the track meet--it was wonderful!! I went and ran with some of my kids--not long--but I never thought I would ever run again. The arthritic old gal still has a little left in her!! I know there is pain but I have to say the laughter and being with them--well this was a perfect day! I was so proud of them today!
AV cleaning and washing can wait one more day!!! You just got back from vacation!! Work is around the corner--ease into it!! I am glad you had a wonderful vacation--it makes the heart light and happy!!
WWM had clean up with Team Court group last Sunday after church. The trash you find is just odd--the shoe--the bra--and best a toilet seat? Hot steaming shower is the best thing to feel better!

Ha. My mum always wanted a Jane so that's what I was named but for most of my life I wished I wasn't just 'plain Jane' and had a more beautiful and unusual name. (Until I found the novel Jane Eyre, that took away the sting a little!) 'Eugene' is a strong family name in my dad's family, my parents didn't want to call my brother 'Eugene' but why couldn't they have called me Eugenie, lol?

Reading the comments on that article, I found that most of the different names people had been given seemed normal to me....maybe it was because I grew up in Calif...lol! Still have problems with people spelling my first name, Debra which to me is simple but the variations are just unbelieveable.
