  10. Thank you everyone, I realized I haven't uploaded many pictures of my baby boy :) He's a momma's boy.

His new trick is sticking his head into my glass and drinking all of my water.

Gabriel tells Comet Mommy took my toy :(

  11. My cats love glasses too! So much so that I gave them their own (in addition to their regular water bowl). It started out as sneaky way to get my older cat to drink more water. Haha...silly kitties!

  12. Haha, KMof2 Duchess before Gabriel came into the picture had multiple bowls because she would love splashing her paw in the water and move the water bowl all over the room I had trails of water all over the room whenever I came home and she had no water left so thus started the multiple water bowl saga. Then finally I found a nice heavy glass or pyrex not sure, bread bowl [nice large, and heavy] and now she cannot move it around the room, but she can however still splash it, so now I've put a pan under it, so the splashed water goes in there. Gabriel like to do that too now.

  13. Haha, that must be hilarious to watch (not so much to clean up)! My cats haven't done that too much, but once in a while I've noticed they try to get the water moving. The little one does make a MESS when she eats- she picks up a piece of food, then turns away and drops it and proceeds to eat that way. There's kitten food crumbles everywhere! As she got older, she got much neater, but since she was spayed she's been making a mess again (I think it might be because she's standing differently from being sore from the surgery). Oh, the joys of being a pet parent...never a dull moment!

  14. Gabriel used to eat his food, then stop to scratch at the floor [hiding his food] and then continue. For a while Duchess would knock her food out of the bowl and eat it off the floor.

Duchess will bop Gabriel on the head and push his head away from his bowl, and he'll do it right back, which is why the eat separately now. They only do this for their little night time snack.

Eating is their favorite time of the night and day.

  15. Haha, poor Gabriel! It's the opposite here- the little stinker runs right up and pushes the bigger one out of the way (who backs right off). I used to have trouble getting my oldest cat (Chloe) to eat, she was so tiny and sickly growing up, but after she was spayed she became a piglet! When the kitten came along, I started a system using a side table and one would eat on the top, the other on the bottom. The kitten couldn't jump high enough to reach the table yet, so she couldn't bother Chloe and also couldn't get into the regular cat food. Once the little one started jumping, they kind of designated their own spots and now the kitten prefers the top and Chloe prefers the bottom. But I took the table away before my little one was spayed last week so she wouldn't be jumping too much, so we're back to side by side eating and pushing! Haha

  16. Gabriel holds to his own though....he will often engage in feeding swaps where he'll eat the majority of the food, but only for night time snack does he seem to back off. Duchess has become such a porker!!! She used to only eat some of her food and leave the rest for later, now she eats everything and then looks for more. It's like she never gets enough which I know is not true.

  17. Chloe is the same way! I used to free feed with her, because she would never eat it all in one sitting, and it was great- I never had to worry about her running out of food and being hungry when I wasn't around. But now she's a little chunk-meister! If she doesn't have food in her bowl, she acts all sweet and whiny (that cat knows how to get what she wants). When I first got the kitten, she was like a garbage disposal...poor thing had been so starved, and would inhale all her food and have terrible gas. As she got older (and I think more secure that she had a good home where she'd always get more food) she slowed down a lot and doesn't eat it all in one sitting anymore. But then Chloe sneaks whatever she leaves, and of course it's kitten food so it's higher in calories. Sometimes Chloe will even refuse to eat her food and only wants kitten food. But when she was little she didn't want to touch her kitten food. She's so weird!

It's nice to hear that Duchess is so similar and that Chloe's not the only one who changed her eating habits!

  19. What a lovely stripey boy. It's funny about the hair things. a week ago I bought a whole thing of hair bands on a card? Ther must have been 25 of them. Now I can't find any of them thanks to Jax. I havve no idea where he's putting them.

  20. Both he and Duchess love to steal my hair things and I spend most of my night finding them, because Duchess will want to eat it.
