Haha. I went to Petsmart today to stock up on litter before their sale is over this Sunday. There was a gal there that saw the containers of litter on my cart & came over to ask my opinion of some of the litters. The first thing I thought of was this thread. For the time being I've been using Tidy cat. Lately it hasn't been acting normal. I think they may be mixing non-clumping litter in w/clumping. And it's been getting dusty & never use to. I told her that when Tidy cat isn't on sale I use the Petsmart brand EquisiCat as well. It stands up pretty good to all my different types of box users here.

Torn between two litters (feelin' like a fool...)

That's interesting, Feral. We finally settled on Tidy Cats scoopable litter. (Though I really liked Arm and Hammer too.) I can go a month between litter dumpings (by scooping frequently and spot cleaning smears on the boxes) which was my goal to make clumping litter worth it financially. But, I have noticed more dust lately too....strange. I thought it was just my imagination. It's still not terribly dusty and I haven't noticed a difference in the clumping yet. It's good to know about PetSmart's brand.

I might just go back to their brand for good. The dust has been an issue for several months & I thought it may just be a peticular product snafu but it's still getting dusty. Petsmart's rand really is pretty good. I usually get the unscented & it still has a real faint, but nice, odor to it when you pour it in the litterbox.

I am currently using World's Best Kitty Litter and really like it. It clumps well and is not dusty. They have one with a lavender scent that I haven't tried yet, but so far so good. It is a bit expensive but I buy it on amazon for $24/16lbs.
