  3. Yay!!!!!!! I screamed out loud when I saw this thread. Sush wonderful news...& I'm so glad that our advice helped you find Libs. I'm sure your breath was taken away when you first realized it was Libby trapped in that garage. I get that breathless feeling every time one of my kits takes off & shows back up when I've thought the worst scenareo.
    I'm so sorry to hear of Jasper's decline. I'm Praying that now that Libs is back home, Jasper will perk up. Maybe he just was missing Libby? {{{HUGS}}} for a Happy ending!

  9. JC, this is wonderful news! So glad Libs is back home safe and sound. I second the idea of 'chipping' the little minx; it will give you some piece of mind in case she goes on another walkabout.

    So sorry to hear about Jasper, & I, too, hope he will rally now that Libs is back home. Will send the TDK healing light and prayers for him. {{{hugs}}}

  10. Fantastic news! I'm so glad you found your Libby safe and sound! Typical though - kitty's first priority is to make sure her territory is safe and her position as top cat is still firmly in place!!! Head skritches to the little monkey girl and hugs to JCat! {{{JCat&Libby}}}

  11. RFLMAO @ Emma! And thank you guys all so much. The wanderer is now sitting on the verandah again, turning her nose up at her plate of wet food (typical) -- little does she know she has all the chicken livers she could ever eat in store for her evening meal.

    Jasper is no better. Some people might have missed it, as I think I only posted it on the night shift a couple of times, but he does have kidney cancer. I was warned by the vet he might have it a couple of months ago, after his hypoglycaemic ep, and it was confirmed a couple of weeks ago so the vet told me then it was weeks rather than months, and that this day was coming. I am still hoping he will rally over the weekend but it is looking more and more unlikely. :(

  13. I hadn't read about Jasper - just his Catster page that says he has his share of health problems. I hope he rallies but if he doesn't I wish you the strength and peace-of-mind to do what needs to be done.

    I also missed hearing about Millie (I guess I should read the Cafe and Night Shifts more often). Is she a new kitty?

  14. I am so glad, Jcat, that you found Libby. I hope she stays home for a while now, and a good while! I am sorry to hear about Jasper, but understand what turmoil this is for you. You make the call. He has had a good life and if it should be his time, know that we are all here for you. Kiss him for me, and Libby too, should she stay still!

    Love to all, peace to you. Much Love, mama Lynn

  15. Thanks, GD and CBM and Mama Lynn :-)

    CBM, Millie is one of the kittens whom I fostered with their mum, Maisie, over Christmas. Maisie gave birth to three tortie girls early in the morning of Christmas Eve. Millie has cerebellar hypoplasia quite severely and cannot walk so she is not suitable for rehoming. So she is staying with me :-) She's a sweet little mite, and I have been very glad of a warm tiny furry body to cuddle this week. But she hasn't got a Catster page yet. Unfortunately, Libby hates her and is pretty cross with me too. I was worried that was the reason why Libby disappeared...

  16. Wonderful news that Libby has returned. She sure got herself in a fix, didn't she? Little brat!!! :D

    White light and prayers for a peaceful passing for Jasper if it must be so.

  17. Hip hip hooray for Libs being found safe and at home!!!!! I am so sorry to hear of Jasper's decline :( Hugs and very gentle scritches for him please from me and head butts from the crew. If indeed he crosses on Monday, Kinker and Max will be there along with my big lug of a Rottie Zeus to greet him. {{{Jane & your gang}}}

    Well my dau is now a PhD, yay!!!! I am staying thru early Monday morning, she wants me to go to church with her on Sunday so I will do that. Still checking in when I can on her computer, we just got back from dinner out and she wants to go have drinks.....so off I go.....

  18. Libby may hate her now, but she might change in time. Especially when she doesn't have Jasper anymore. My daughter has a cerebellar hypoplasia who didn't walk when she was young. By the time she was 1 year old, she had mastered a sort of crawl/hop/walk and gets around the house pretty fast now.

    Since you found Libby locked in a place she couldn't get out of, it seems more likely that she was exploring and got stuck. If the owner of the house came out and shut the garage door before going off for a little holiday, poor Libby wouldn't have been able to get out.

  19. More hugs for Libby and Jane, gentle scritches for Jasper and headbutts for little Mills.

  20. This is such good news Jcat. I don't get to use the internet much on Fridays (too many other committments) so this is the first time I've been able to check on the little toerag.
